rating the pipeline community by the self-appointed ombudsman
We can only improve if we are aware of our shortcomings. :~D
MUSIC POSTS - one of the strengths of the community generally but not much new ground being advanced here of late. B minus
PERSONAL STORIES - there have been a few moments but I'm finding the artists to be more reserved than I'd prefer, for entertainment purposes. D plus
THE ANGST FACTOR - almost a zero, not enough cringy moments. F
POETICS/ WORDPLAY - I think we need to recruit some poets and philosophers, this area is almost at a standstill. N/A
SOCIAL AWARENESS/ POLITICAL - not bad, not great. C minus
SENSE OF HUMOR - seems very lacking of late - D minus
GROUP PRIDE/IDENTITY - seems strong as ever - A
SUMMARY - Keep rollin'.

well fly, those are important considerations you have posted. I dont know how many times over the years I have posted my personal experiences stories, both personal and business on most of the above named issues and I aint about to do the whole thing over again, too much work to sit here and type for hours on end, been there done that.
now as a whole you probably have made some good points and have a higher expectation then most of us. many play it safe. tough to let it all hang out for the average poster, a few are brave enough to let it all hang out . but I will not bore people with some stuff they have seen before. just too much work to go over and over the same ground for me. but as a whole there has been improvement, but for me, I think I will let others do the heavy hauling and lifting and will maybe follow the lead, and fill in some when I feel compelled, i done it for some time as others have. new blood has to step up to the plate

There was a Japanese man who went to America for sightseeing. On the last day, he hailed a cab and told the driver to drive to the airport. During the journey, a Honda drove past the taxi. Thereupon, the man leaned out of the window excitedly and yelled, "Honda, very fast! Made in Japan!"
After a while, a Toyota sped past the taxi. Again, the Japanese man leaned out of the window and yelled, "Toyota, very fast! Made in Japan!"
And then a Mitsubishi sped past the taxi. For the third time, the Japanese leaned out of the window and yelled, "Mitsubishi, very fast! Made in Japan!"
The driver was a little angry, but he kept quiet. And this went on for quite a number of cars. Finally, the taxi came to the airport. The fare was US$300.
The Japanese exclaimed, "Wah... so expensive!"
There upon, the driver yelled back, "Meter, very fast! Made in Japan!"
MY FRIEND WROTE FOR ME THIS
"A Japanese man walked into the currency exchange in New York City with 2000 yen and walked out with $72. Next week, he walked in with another 2000 yen, and got $66. He asked the teller why he got less money this week. The teller said, "Fluctuations." The Japanese man stormed out, and just before slamming the door, turned around and shouted, "Fluc you Amelicans, too!"

No disrespect meant Fly, i was being harsh, and inconsiderate when I said Brainless, I did not intend to offend. and i did. I am sorry to have gone that direction. I guess I see this Fly thing and dis-associate it from a person being the one saying it. even though I do. it was an intolerant thing and I was out to lunch there. my apologies.
Your points are fine. some not for me. but see your intention for posting this thing
cheers
