the song "I Can See For Miles" - Transcendent statement of awareness or paranoid delusional outburst?
How often are we right when we think we are reading someone's mind? Do some of us have a gift of instinct that allows us deep insight into other people? Do you trust your own instincts? Do you use them to help run your life?
))))) I know you've deceived me now here's a surprise. I know that you have cause there's magic in my eyes. (((((((
Are instincts often totally wrong and more of a product of the mood of the seer?

Like all things, practise makes perfect! But you really have to believe or it's just the proverbial pissing in the wind...

Instincts are a part of the natual being. Animals do not have the ability to form logic they base life on past experiance and survive by instinct. Humans also have instinct but because of our over active brains sometimes we surpress it. Instinct will provide advanced warning of danger in some cases.
Visions of the future are possible by some but this is not instinct it is second sight. This is completly different and should not be confused with instinct as one has nothing to do with the other.

My instincts often conflict with my intuition. It is nearly always that my intuition is correct though :-)

Townshend has said this song was mainly about his insecurities while playing live. He had an overwhelming feeling of being trapped, left stuck on the stage while others in the club could possibly be picking up his girlfriend. He grew to mistrust her and out of that came "I Can See For Miles".. A song he labored over, but saw quite disapointing chart performance. It's one of my faves though.
I'm a firm believer in the old gut check myself, although, I've been blind sided a few times in relationships. I'd say we need to have some clues to sense things are not as they should be.
