There's nowhere to turn in this world.
People aren't generally in the mood to be pleased. They'd rather kill the messenger. I try to maintain the things I'm involved with using some sense of principals. It's like anytime I assume something positive, the next shoe drops as they say. Well it's times like these where I lean on music to get me thru shit.

Yeah, life can suck sometimes but the alternative is nothingness. When choosing between something and nothing, the choice is clear to me but that's just my opinion.
I've wondered what nothingness might feel like but logic seems to indicate that it doesn't feel like anything. So, I choose something because at least I know what it is.
Music is like a best friend who never betrays you.

Lean hard and long. The shit never ends it just gets deeper and deeper. But music will get you through it all. You must be a diligently creative soul to overcome the madness of negative forces. But through music we communicate our inner heartfelt dreams and ideas. We espouse new directions and paths to happiness. We pave the way for others to pursue and overcome. We sooth our inner souls cauldron of burning embers. In this sense, we are adventurers on planet earth trying to reach one soul at a time that may be healed and redeemed from servitude to hatred and its many sub groups. As it was once written. The race is not given to the swiftest or the strongest but to the one that endures until the end. We must daily find faith in ourselves and a higher power to continue the musical journey's ahead of us. The world would like for us to be accomplices in the inequities of hate practices. But, as practitioners of the musical arts we must resist such temptations and continue towards a place called "the real". As in keeping it real. That would be defined as whatever is coming directly from your heart and not necessarily from your brain. Music calms the savage beast, soothes the weary soul, inspires the starry eyed youth, emboldens the heavy laden congregation, gives joy to those who are sad and relief to those who mourn. It is more important than we give it credit for. Every culture and people on the earth have some form of music. It is the one universal thing that we all have in common. We are the standard bearers for music today because we are not corrupted in any way by corporate entities. We are music indie people! Go forth and conquer whatever music hurdles get in your way today. It's all about the music. The negative shit cannot stand up against the forces of positive thought and living. The messenger will always be killed but the message cannot be terminated. It is the ghost that haunts the living. How do you terminate something that has found a life of its own? The message goes forth like a virus. Infecting all who listen and descending on societal norms to change the things that were once thought unchangeable. But the going often gets weary. This is when we use music as a therapeutic salve over our wounded chords and progressions. One Mic, one love. Let it be........Okay, I been smoking some really good herb today. Sorry about the rant. Jeesh! That was fun though :)
