Some people evolve, others don't.
I often wonder what kind of progress the smarter part of the human race could have made if they were not held back by the others. You dream about some greater society, that as a collective continues to shatter boundaries and borders, in music and art, in communication. Then you remember that there are always dullards in the midst of the crowd who try to stomp on every inkling of growth and inspiration they see. They drag down the golden mission, as their dogmatic selves serve only as obstacles to potential realms of greatness. Even worse, these ball-and-chain people find each other and fortify their stand of idiocy, backing each other with babbling weepbreath, forcing the movers and shakers to stop marching forward so they can attend to the sorry patches of woefulness these rebels without any vision create.
I wish I could slap each and every one of these pea-brained opossums down and say Evolve, motherfucker, evolve!!!

I read its 1 to 5% of the population that screw everything up. These are the people who commit crimes, do not try to better themselves, look for handouts, and rearend you with no car insurance.

I think it's much more than that Jeff ....
The criminals are the least of the worlds worry IMO ... It's the plain negativity that is so abundant in the population that drags down evolution ...
The very ones that call themselves law-abiding citizens are a much bigger detriment to society ... they are the biggest percentage of the largest criminal activity on earth ...
as they are stealing much more from the masses ...

there are givers----- and there are takers, and at the extreme end of the takers are the fuckwits---- who have never had an original, or creative thought, and are full of envy and jealousy------and they don't even know!!!!!!
