Insane Ramblings about the Government Conspiracy to Kill Rock and Roll
Disclaimer: This is the internet goddammit, you can say anything and you don't have to have proof.
I was going around the remote last night thru 200 channels and went thru the music section, to my dismay.
I remember when popular music had this immediacy to it. When did it all become about dance routines? Dance routines to trite pop songs bore me, bore me to death. I hate all the dance pop queens and I think that Aquilera has no, I repeat NO talent also.
I wonder if the government has some interest in controlling the label tastemakers, if they pay off music honchos to push this horrible doodoo?
Look what they did to John Lennon. They followed him around like he was an international dirty bomb-wielding terrorist and according to some fairly respectable authors, killed him using a Manchurian Candidate.
I've read arguments on this very site about a theory that the government killed Hendrix and Joplin and let's face it, those 2 would take any pill anyone gave them, the means were certainly there and Nixon was certainly capable.
Yes I'm insane but I believe that somewhere in the deep governmental agencies, there is a bureau dedicated to the proposition that popular music needs to stay mindless, benign, and possibly even musically weak in order to keep the populace down, in order to stifle any seeds of rebellion that could cause us longhairs and other freaks to not be able to properly change the world.
And it's time to legalize reefer, too, thank you!
