New energy needed to boot this thing along---!
If you park your music here and walk away ---nothing much happens---
If you believe in your own music (and your musical destiny)
you will drive yourself to promote it and IAC together---- as one leads the other and success for iac means more ears to hear your sounds
The conference could be a tipping point --but only if it is given support by the artists
IMO
So?

We've had many, many say they are coming, but somewhat disappointing number of actual registrations so far, and that is what we have to plan based upon.

I have friends and family in the Los Angeles area that would like to see the showcase portion of the evening.
You may want to consider tickets for fans and music lovers as well. Put those on sale after the Sept 30th artist deadline.
Nothing like a full house guys!!
Just a thought...............

Hey Admin & Lace!!
I was hoping you'd be there Lace---chance of a lifetime an' all that??
You know for us coming from the bottom of the world to Los Angeles is like the peasants visiting ROME back when Rome was the centre of the known world
so much to learn --like how much to tip? we don't do that here
or how to get around such a huge City---are the cab drivers trustworthy?
in my country they are mostly new immigrants who don't even know the streets
---not their fault some of them are doctors and teachers who can't get jobs because of the recession
Then there's the guitar thang----thought i might buy me a good accoustic/ electric at McCabes---but would it cost more there than in my own country
any advice would be appreciated even if it's just takin' the piss on a country boy!

Dearest Powers-that-be, on IAC:
The management of Conversation Suicide fully endorse the departure of pHLeGm, and the band, for California's IAC Musical Festival on 10/10/10.
Mr. David M. Franklin, (President of Artfest Music), is looking forward greatly to working with all of you. Especially excited to meet Aimee Terrin, & Rob of Silverwood Studios, amongst many others. SLIMDOg & Duane Flock, and so many more.
Please advise as to the process for obtaining a slot for our IAC Band, Conversation Suicide, and whether there may be scholarships for poverty challenged artists, like pHLeGm & his crew.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely yours, The Management

Don't know that it really needed to be said, but I'll say it anyway:
Family obligations will keep me from traveling to LA this year. But, hopefully there will be other suarées in the future, because I really would like to meet the lot of you.
Take care and have a great time!
