MY HOMETOWN
On 22nd February 2011 at 12.51pm , the city of Christchurch was staggered by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake which demolished much of the town centre, trapping many people in buildings, demolishing iconic buildings, killing many in the streets with falling rubble.
Many of the citizens have left town as the aftershocks continue-this song is a call of hope for those who call Christchurch home!
We send out our love to all those still in the city helping the injured, and comforting those families who have lost their loved ones or their homes-we sing in hope for a better future!

Great art is often born out of terrible tragedy. This is a song of heartbreaking pathos and profound emotions woven together with hooky jingle-jangle guitars and authentic Americana vocals. Silverwood songs are like clouds with silver linings. They show the world from both sides now and inspire us to thrive as well as survive. Rob and company continue to make great art out of the mysteries of life. For that they have all my gratitude.

nice one Rob, Now this is something that iacmusic and all of its members should jump on board , iacmusic could hookup with paypal or the like and start a fundraiser, with us offering donations and send the monies to the appropriate places,
that is more important then anything going on here at the moment.
