buying Mp3s for xmas CD promo!!
we are pleased to have sold music here!------------ so have decided to make a "Promo"IAC xmas CD to give to strategic friends in the industry in New Zealand------where we live!
the genres we are looking at are World/Contemporary Folk/ Accoustic Rock-----which cuts out quite a few of our favs----but we will follow up with a Winter CD!!!!(Southern Hemisphere)
this is our list so far for a 10 track CD (we have requested permission from )
Gina-----Child of War
Eaglehead/ Steve April-------East to the Dawn
Susan Raven----Glittering Cities
Debs & Tony------I Believe
Hugh H. ---Lonesome Road
Steve Ison /Steve A-----Gypsy Annie
Auset-----Waterloo
Gondwana-----Silverwood
Firefly------Silverwood
Coastline----Silverwood
Of course this will not be the order on the album/will have to do some serious listening to get that right/ plus design an appropriate cover
Maybe we'll get it out by early 2008----I sure hope so!
There are a few others who I would have liked to add-------next time eh!!
You know it's a really cheap xmas present to make up your own IAC CD---and support the fine Artists here!!
happy xmas everyone

I love the idea Rob. I think it's time for me to go on another IAC shopping spree and copy your idea.
Thank you Rob for putting "I Believe" on your CD. I am totally honored to be on there with you and the others. Big Giant Bear Hug, deb

It was easy to pick these songs cos we had a list of criteria-----
Equal male /female vocalists
not overproduced-----(sounds like humans----not machines)
a range of countries represented-----we have USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Aussie and New Zealand
songs with a message / story
clear understandable lyrics
genres that fit with each other!
The buying process was easy, even for a total Klutz (like me) ---I accidently bought one song twice and got a refund immediately!
Eaglehead donated their song for free ----thanks guys!
You know it would be a very cool Xmas gift-----just choose your fav IAC Artists mp3s @256 bits
burn to CD and make your own cover----cheap cheap cheap!!!
give one copy to all your friends-----and put the IAC web address on the front cover!
Have a good one!!

Well........I won't be out-done here! You can have mine for free too! How's that for a non-competitive girl? :-) It's my gift to you because I like you and because you are sharing my music. Great big gargantuous gutsquishing eye popping hugs to you! LOL

Yeah I agree!!!!!
It is time for another buying spree! I like the idea and I wanted to say I have a show with my band at New Years and again they agreed to let me play IAC music during breaks.
Thanks for the xmas idea!

Firstly ---Debs ---too late it's done, and we wanted to BUY to show we place a value on the music----Eaglehead donating was cool too as it was a shared song with Steve April and we bought another with his songwriting----
Kenyon----my idea actually evolved from something you did a while back--but I don't have an MP3 player so we went with hard copy----next one will be more rocky--like you!
Satch----thanks----I would have got 'Mischief' as well but it's not for sale?
and congrats on #4 in ALL genres
