Well, that's a bit "Northist" if you ask me (only teasing) I think I'll set up an alternative Station now called "NORTH UP OVER" Seriously there is some great talent eminating from your side of the world perhaps the sunshine in Oz and the scenery in Kiwiland are particularly inspiring. You don't get too many #1s from the Desert regions or Skegness (sorry Skeggy) for sure maybe just the odd sand dance :)

That is soooo cruel!
It's hard to come up with novel ideas to compete with your great stations !
However, We do have one more clever stunt to pull / watch this space????
On a serious note, We are starting to get the hang of how this site works and networking and "stations" equal forward movement, I get the feeling that IAC is growing exponentially at the moment and therefore doing nothing = going backwards!
Anyways, come on southern women and men , send us your songs pleeeeez!

I recognise Silverwood as prospective top flight Station masters because they are thinking and observing the process as well as being genuinely entertained by the experience. Sometimes there is no logic to the success of Station ideas. Last year My Station "Justification" shot to a top spot after I included audio intros and novelty DJ comments. Because it filled up so quickly I started a follow on Station called "Feedback" which I thought was much better with more careful music choices, reviews and audio comments. It didn't make it into the top 1,000 as I remember. This is a big problem as each station fills do you start deleting or risk expeansion and falling into oblivion? NB I have an Aussie favourite that I could fill a page with - hope you find him!! Jilly

Give us a clue? Pretty! Please!
Good points made. I am assuming stations have a "lifespan' while we are choosing songs, and then fade away as new stations are created?
One way is to keep deleting and adding, but that runs the risk of offending artists, and you would have to do lots of it to keep rating.
There is a tension between competing and co operating, and so far competing is the universal choice ( the market rules)
There are characters out there, that push co operating, Kenny Coalgate, the WizardX is one of these, and JAWZ you are another!
Indie is a viable alternative, but we should evolve the model, if we really believe in changing the industry!
Sweet!
