We have tons of sad songs! Yay!...? Anyway, these are all songs based on very true, very personal, and very heartbreaking events. You can read the stories on their pages but quickly; "Doppler Effect" is about death and loss both in term of some close friends of mine that left us under very tragic circumstances and of tragedy in general. "Remembrance" is about the end of a 3 and a half year long relationship with the only girl I have ever kissed in my life and yearning to remember the good times in the midst of betrayal. And "Stranger in the Mirror" is about a very dark time when I used alcohol to try and deal with these things.

Hi Silverdood,
My Sad Song is "every now and then." About a special person from many years ago, mental health issues, society's relation to mental health issues, and so on. only a demo, so the production's a work in progress, the lyrics from many years ago, tho melody and production recent...caio...

Hey Rob, not much in our catalog.
But there are two:
Down Like the Rain - a breakup song and
bitstream - much heavier:
speed of light, speed of mind,
speed of everything by design.
i'm caught in the bitstream, can't break the chain.
everything you do, you do again and again
start of life begins your time,
don't ask for reason, don't ask for rhyme.
certain things are bound to be true
the day you rise from the primordial ooze.
will you dance the dance of the masses?
will you cry when the little boy dies?
will you share your bowl with a stranger?
are there still stars in your eyes?
will the world weep without your presence?
will the oceans and rivers all go dry?
will you make a single ounce of difference?
are there still stars in your eyes?
I'd say I hope you enjoy them, but that's not really the point, is it?

Thanks Rob,
You're awesome, can't wait to see the DVD of Starjam at the Halberg awards, they sang after the TV showing but for the first time, in the history of the Halberg awards, the whole audience raised to a standing ovation.
They sang, I Believe, as sung by Fantasia Burrino, now that would be a hard one to not need a tissue for.

Hello Rob - if you're still looking for sad songs, please feel free to check out two of mine - Albert Bridge In The Rain and Emotional At Airports. I hope you enjoy listening to them.
(sorry, don't know how to hyperlink on these boards yet, but both songs are right on my profile).

If you check with Glenn at Lars Mars, he'll tell you that all of my songs are sad ;->
However, I would submit "Since You Went Away", my most recent tune, and/or "Listen" for your sad station.
(BTW, do you ever slip up and say "you" instead of "ewe"...just wondering)

Hello Rob!
My name is Cherish and I am a volunteer for Petra Luna. She has two songs on her page that may fit your "sad" category. I would love for you to take a listen!
The first song titled "Sere Ganador Solo Por Un Dia" is the spanish version for a song writen by Maria Daines and Paul Killington called "Racing to Death". The song tells of the plight of the Greyhound dog and the fate they meet once their "glory days" of being a champion are over.
The second song titled "Adam" is a song about a young boy who is on the path to suicide and the hope of reaching out to him in time to prevent it. (inspired by actual experiences in Petra Luna's life) .....It is absolutely touching.
Hope you enjoy them, thanks for taking your time to take a listen! ;)
-Sincerely, Cherish (Petra Luna volunteer)

Hey Rob,
My song "Remember" is kind of a sad song. It's a rough demo version that I have posted and the quality isn't too bad!
http://www.iacmusic.com/songs.aspx?SongID=55819&ArtistID=92430
This song is for those listeners who long for the times of their innocence, when they didn't have a care in the world and life was new and exciting!
Not everybody could relate to it, but most of us can!
Please let me know what you think!

Hey Rob ...
I just added one that's about a person who slept with someone after just meeting them on the hope it would lead to "something meaningful", only to discover that the other person had no interest in a relationship and and considered them to be only an:
Evening Star
I think that's kind of sad ...
Best,
Kev-

I missed this----wohoo!
here goes--
Bob--great "feel"----love the intro, and the ecclectic use of instruments!
Kurt---already have "Listen" on several stations---"Since you went Away" is
perfect for this station!
PHlegMie----Ha! I finally chose "Private Hell" after reading the lyrics to Daffodils (several times) wink!
Cherish (Petra)----what a fine page!! Adam is the one----good production but it also seems very real and personal!!!!
Mike---I have enjoyed this one B4----and added---good !
Kevin --thanks mate---very cool lyrics, and some beautiful melodic lines---fine tune!

this is what i would describe as "arresting"

Tim ----on my way!
