remember -- Jackson Brown?
He was in town yesterday and interviewed on local (New Zealand) radio!!
What a refreshing point of view-he still makes music with a message of hope for humanity and was humble and frank-
He explained how some of those early songs came really easy, "Take it Easy" and how now it has dried up as bit-
sound familiar?

Went to see Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers a few years a go, and Jackson Browne was the opening act! Talk about a treat! Two headliners in my book. He sounded grat and songs rang as true as ever. It was a testament,I think, to Petty as well....he always ahs interesting openers. Last year when we saw him Stevie Winwood opened...another great performer!
Glad these guys ar still out there and being heard.

Hi Guys
Kurt--Tom Petty and the heartbreakers toured New Zealand a few years back with Bob Dylan----it was like they hadn't rehearsed much----- or maybe some reluctance on Bobs part----sounded like 2 bands playing different tunes?
I like covering ---
'free fallin' and 'I won't back Down'-----that is ROCK!!!
Jackson sounded ageless----

When I met my wife in 1989, Jackson Browne was one of her favorites. She liked the political edge to his song writing. Now there's an idea of how long he's been Rockin'. We cover Runnin' On Empty.
Tom Petty tunes we cover are Breakdown, Mary Janes Last Dance, American Girl, to name a few.

Great to read this topic Rob, he's such a great songwriter & Sky Blue & Black is one of our faves, Paul introduced me to Jackson Browne's music many years ago & I'm so glad he did as I'd heard the name but never heard his music, so many brilliant songs & some very deep thought that's gone into them, love it :)

Yes Yes-!!----Maria!!!!
it was his humanity---his lack of ego that impressed me --I have been a fan of his for years---but never really seperated him out, from say,--- The Eagles
cos they covered the same ground---- but he's a warrior for peace, and is on a mission---I love That!!!
