Murphys Law!
I think we were somehow connected with the IAC outage!
This was the day we had the Press, Distributers, Music Mag editors etc all lined up to give us the "once over" and blow me down -----there was nothing there!
Had to pinch myself a few times as the phone calls began----even our iac Cashbox link dissappeared---so it was quite embarressing---for a while!
The good news is we are now negotiating a video ($10,000) deal and NZ cd distribution rights
for "the Nobody"
It can and does happen!!!!
Special thanks to THE WIZARD X (Kenny Colgate) for picking out that song as "the one"
cos it was all recorded in 30 mins on an analogue 4 track and although remastered by IAC
it was only at 128 bits!
Luckily we still have the original Wav file to work with for the CD------also we are planning to re- record a bigger braver rock version 7------14th June along with new material!!!
thanks IAC

Well at work we have two basic imaginary people, Murphy is that bastard who likes to shit on my parade usually monday mornings or friday afternoons, these are the most significant times for a good shit on a nice parade. Then we have the ninja who helps us protect ourselves and grabs us when the murp tries to push us off the roof. It seems to me that although Murphy had you doods down for a while getting ready for the big shit, the ninja protected you near the end. The ninja must prevail and he did.
Congratulations, you have a powerful powerful ninja to help you along. Don't try to look for the ninja, you know how they are, kinda secretive and stealthy.
Butt you know when Murphy has been around by the pile of steamy very volatile
shit he always leaves behind, behind, behind. Congratulations doods.

Laws are usually put into place to help us, but Murphys law was meant to be broken! All Indies deserve a break. When you work hard enough, you'll get your rewards.
Congrats guys!

thanks a lot my fellow travellers!!!
I had to respond to Isle Of Ewes very astute summary!!!!
I step in that stuff, just out side my front door, and it sticks to my shoes and hangs around------
Murphy of course, is Irish, but I sense our ninja is a Polynesian warrior carrying a mere (greenstone/club) with a heavily tatooed face (moko) and a big grin----
especially after reading the Isles piece!
Rule 11, Mortimor, Duane, J. Patrick Sharpe------great respect to you!
we are all in this together!

One good thing I got out of the outage was it gave me a chance/excuse to go look at some of the mySpace pages out there, including yours Silverwood. It's interesting to look at some other websites featuring my IAC pals.
Congrats on the deserved success of The Nobody!

D'oh! What were we just saying, The Man With No Band, about goofs on the front page? I just posted a comment unwittingly logged in as Bat Lenny vocalist The Nail instead of myself. So for the record, I am Stegor (Greg), but the little picture over there is The Nail (Mark) and though he may agree with me he isn't the one that said what I said.
Sorry - back to the subject at hand.

Thanks! Art and music are so connected in my head that I can't have one without the other. Many a great album has been spoiled by shoddy artwork. I can't listen to music without visualizing the associated artwork that goes with it, and if I don't like it I have a harder time liking the music. I used to paint replacement album covers for records I liked but didn't like the cover, just so I had something better to visualize. It didn't really work.
