New Zealand Music Month! 10 FREE SONGS!
NZ Music!!
Heck it seems like May is here-and that is when our whole Music Industry has a spotlight shone on Kiwi Artists on Radio TV etc
-as NZ music is a tiny market and needs all the help it can getfew bands here even get radio play during the rest of the year!!
We are giving away free music for the whole month and already I see many kiwis are grabbing our tunes from
www.amplifier.co.nz - or http://www.amplifier.co.nz/artist/45207/silverwoodstudio.html
Songs here are normally NZ $1.99, so I guess it's no surprise!
Help yourself to : GondwanaSweet FateFrankMan in a Shack-On an Island and more!!
It's free and you increase our stats for charts so you are doing us a favour as well!!!!

Kiwis rock!... I was down there in Feb/March. Played an outdoor festival in Wellington. Shared the stage with a band called Little Bushman. They blew me away. Well worth checking out. Listen to "Nature of Man" for example:
http://www.myspace.com/littlebushmanband
Also I got turned on to NZ favs Bic Runga, Odessa, Don McGlashan and a young woman named Lydia Cole who was just in the studio under Neil Finn's tutelage.

I remember that John ---sorry I didn't get to your Wellington show
Warren fron Little Bushmen is a fine guy (and Muso) and Don McGlashan must be our top lyricist --imo! ---Bic is from my old school- Cashmere high--it's a small country!!
I'll look out for Lydia!
none of them is rich tho'--

Ghristchurch Boys! (like me)
Max Merrit played at Carlisle street on a sunday afternoon, an industrial warehouse by the railway station---I was all of 13 years old--it was the first time i saw a guy with a knife hidden in his boot-----he was a moderate success in Aussie for many years
Ray Columbus and the Invaders played the church at Spencer Streets sat nite hop
Later moved to Auckland and is still pulling strings in the music industry here, with less hair!
Auckland Boys
Bill and Boyd (I loved it)-- very early Kiwi duo, late 50s early 60s saw them once live supporting Bobby Vee--i would have been about 8 years old
Split Enz was Tim Finn and mates Noel Crombie, , Eddie Rayner , Phil Chunn, very crazy stage show-----later joined by Neil Finn and morphed into "Crowded House"

Hey Jake ... I just downloaded a Bakers dozen ...
... But ... Gondwana is the only tune that is playing on the site ...
When you punch "Play All" .. you just get Gondwana ... and the individual play arrows don't work on anything but Gondwana ...
