Hmmm... that is indeed interesting. I wonder whether the earthquake (or possible plate shift that caused it) might have also caused a disturbance in the Earth's magnetic field? That looks a lot like an ionic discharge similar to the Aurora to me. I wonder what that would've sounded like? Stephen P. McGreevy has actually made stereo audio recordings of the sounds of the Aurora Borealis and my song 'Aurora Flight' features some of these actual recordings. SuperPussSuperPuss video
