Brian Kelly Producing Contemporary Jazz Project
Bay Area composer and pianist Brian Kelly is currently producing a contemporary jazz album of his own compositions featuring saxophonist Eric Crystal (Boz Scaggs, Vijay Iyer...), trumpet player Mike Olmos (Etta James, Pete Escovedo...), and drummer David Rokeach (Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles).

This will be the follow-up album to his 2008 release, Afterplay (on the Skylight Music label), which was awarded #2 "Contemporary Jazz Album" by Independent Music Awards and nominated "Best Instrumental Jazz Album 2009" category by Just Plain Folks Music Awards. Tracking will be completed in August and mixing will begin in September.
