"Junk" Guitars
One of my profile pictures shows me playing my Hofner Club guitar. These were made in the then West Germany during the post WW2 period of recovery. They were made out whatever materials they could lay their hands on (mine has a laminex headstock!).
In the USA, Danelectro guitar bodies were built from masonite and plywood with the pickups encased in lipstick tubes!
Link Wray was a well known Danelectro user (oh and a few years later some chap called J.Page also used one!)
Unfortunately I couldn't find a vid of the Linkster wielding his Danelectro but here's "The Rumble" anyway.

I haven't seen one of them - Sounds COOL!
(btw do they have to use extra long lipstick tubes for a 7 string pickup?)

Just one question here....are either the floor wedges or the tambourine jangly lady REALLY necessary?
(Or is that two questions?)
