What a great surprise and good timing too
What an nice shock to see my face (Great Central) on the front page today - thank you whoever decides these things.
And I'm doubly pleased because I had just added one of my favourite songs - an early one that demonstrates my style pretty well I think - Here's a link but look at the rest if you feel in a mellow mood (or want to be) - Many thanks from Gavin
shining for ya

Congratulations for being featured! I took a look; it certainly is a good way to bring folks to your music! So how do you find out if you are featured on any given day? Purely by accident? Please do tell!
Apparently having KAYAK nominations didn't hurt, eh?
Again Congratulations! -Phlegm of Conversation Suicide

Good for you, Gavin. Very cool.
Say - I've always wondered... who is the other person in that picture? I can't tell if it's male or female. You look like you are discussing something important. The look in your eyes is one of concern. You are telling this person that everything will be ok. The position of the person's hand suggests there is something not quite right with them. Perhaps a loved one is in some sort of trouble. You just got the news from the person who was sitting in that chair behind you. As soon as they left to go to the restroom you turned to the mystery individual and are discussing it with them.
Am I right?

I just want to say how proud I am to see you featured on the front page of such a prestigious music site Gav. I've liked every song you've ever written and if it were not for your fine example and encouragement I would never have become a songwriter myself and discovered all the joys of on-line indie music and new friends.
What a great year you're having in many ways - Wheeeee!
PS I corrected your link to "Shining" now

Yeah, got to be a good thing! Maybe I should go prime? We'll see. Just took the liberty of adding one of your tracks to my station. Great stuff, indeed. Love the overall vibe and vocals. Be cool, MW

ha, stegor, i think you couldn't be further from the truth - the picture was taken at a really good little house party last summer in a house down the oslofjord where the missus is from - good friends, good food, good weather & good øl... and some freaky dancing!
the person in the photo, i think, is i sweet guy called lars-erik, i seem to remember that we were either talking about music or my attempts to learn norwegian - so it is either intensity or frustration on my face...
thanks for the kind words and support, guys - and merwolf, GO PRIME!, the perks are nice, but it's great to be able to keep so much music up there, i am gradually sticking a whole album up there, don't feel like charging people for it, so it's there for people to listen to whenever they fancy.
here comes summer!!!!

Hey Gavin - I forgot about that weird comment I left you. Thanks for answering it. I was trying my hand at being an "Irreverent Gooficus Poster" (See Fly's "Anatomy of a Pipeline Poster"). I don't think it worked very well...
