NEW Studio Track from Conversation Suicide's frenzied foray into fundamentalist Christianity... DOH !
Folks, yes, it's true. SO I'm gonna need a few disclaimers; please do read to the END, so as to avoid getting offended.
Before finding the gentle folds and comfort of PUNK ROCK / Paganism and good ole Rock n' ROLL, I TOO explored a fundamentalist culture/religion. Please understand that this tune below was before I fully Understood FREEDOM, and a Woman's RIGHT to Choose.

The message of the song is ANTI-Abortion, but ONLY in MOST cases; NOT in the case of RAPE, Incest, ABJECT POVERTY, or other drastic scenarios. Obviously there are times when abortion is, or would seem to be the BEST/ ONLY option.

I'll just do this final disclaimer: I've been a father of 10 (3 by marriage & 7 by my spermatazoa), so please understand how I could see the human-life potential of even a prenatal baby or fetus, in most instances, especially with the options of ADOPTION, Madonna, Angelina Joli, etc.

All this being said; If you read THUS far, and WEREN'T offended, PLEASE Don't think this means I'm now a fundamentalist christian, like urrr... The lady who wrote "BLUE" on IAC.
I'm just showing a brief phase of exploration I experienced.

Thought it would be an interestingly appropriate addition to our music catalog, which I always CLAIM is CHOCK-full of Diversity,
and JUST in time for EASTER, eh?

Seriously, I now celebrate FREEDOM, LOVE, ART, MUSIC and all that the muses bring; birth/rebirth/ and the Spring Solstice /Fertility & new beginnings/hopes as Spring Time starts.

so with that, I'll add,
Happy Easter (to all you christian-types),
and Happy Fertility / Winter Solstice Celebration, Easter BUnny or WHATEVER your into,
to EveryBody ELse!!!

Here's the TUNE:

Breathe My Sleeping One (by Phlegm & Conversation Suicide)

NOTE: The views presented in this song are not supported by Conversation Suicide, pHLeGm, or The Management. Please do try and enjoy, with an OPEN Mind....

urrr... sorry that was so long of an introduction to this song folks,
but it's a bit dodgy puttin' it up on IAC, with the current
ANTI-fundamentalist / Anti-fascist, and ANTI-Hate Crime views I hold.

It's the EXTREMISTS within the Organized Religions that fuck this planet all up, for everybody, imho...

I know you love ME, man, in your own wild way...even though you don't dig my stage-name, bro !
Love ya too, so GLAD you were willing to get your music goin' on IAC.

This new studio track is unexpected/Crazy stuff, eh? Weirdly enough, this blog got 10 likes on facebook within a couple of hours; so some people either dig the song, or appreciate the bravery of revealing the previously pHundamentalist side of the now pagan phLeGm !

You can NEVER tell what songs are gonna be the right demographic for which people; you can only keep trying to execute with quality music from the muses & your heart, using whatever equipment you have available, and pray you get it right occassionally....

AND again a HUGE congrats, on being in the top 5 of HIP-HOP twice!
Your music is killa & definitely worthy of the praise, my good man.

Anybody else out there wanna give this crazy new B-side a listen, and/or comment?

Breathe my Sleeping One - (Pro-Life message, from a Pro-Choice dude)

urrr.... Todd, I appreciate the thought, but I'm more pagan than judeo-christian now, as you saw from this blog & it's disclaimers.
But, YES, if there is a rapture, I'll just tell jesus to check out our ONE Top 25 christian/spiritual track....so's he can throw us in with the sheep, and not the goats.

tee hee....

Here it is again, Conversation Suicide, and a song written during a Christian/Fundamentalist phase of my spriritual search...

Hey Buddy, I just posted my views "On Spirituality" on my blog, check it out:

http://xweaponx.blogspot.com

I am not FUNDAMENT-al in the least (FUNDAMENT referring to a set of BUTTOCKS or an ASS, or a pooping BOTTOM) - I am open to Buddhaism, Hinduism, and especially Tantrism. I love readong about other religions, that my own Faith is based on the Judeo-Xtian I hope does nto mark me as an idio-dolt like most of my ctian fiends are. They are just stubborn, so to me, GOD is HUGE, God is big, so why is he to be referred to only as YHWH and to be worshipped ONLY in the way the jews and christians have done it?

I checked into Krishna music, it is very similar to Christian Worship moosics - Same feel and dynamic.

Anyway my blog states my views, to be spiritual regardless of religion, has commonalities between all "faiths" - An Ap[ostate religion to me, is a religion that EXCLUDES other religions, like Islam. I would respect Ismal but not for the "INFIDEL" factor - Anyone who does not believe exactly as they believe is an INDIFEL! INFIDEL! So Ismal is an Apostate religion, also, there are other problems there, a religion cannot be created to "get back" at a person's half-brother as Islam was created to get back at the Hebrew Faith. They coulc have done it different, but then the Hebrews are kind of crappy, for excluding the Arabs (SOns and Daughters os Ismael, and God Blessed Ismael as is says in te bible- So Ismael was as important in some ways as Abraham's other son.

When I am referring to an apostate religion, I say religion, but when I refer to someon else's beliefs that they adhere to the same way I do mine, I call it FAITH.

it's all good mang.... I dig your musical stuff, as well as your opinion.
i got no probs with Christianity itself (except some of the inherrent contradictions in the bible).... Just with the judgemental/ hypocrytical and FUNDAMENTALIST types;
and that goes for ANY fundamentalist religion....

Trust me, if there was only ONE way to get to Heaven/Paradise/or Nirvana, then there wouldn't be 5 billion people with almost that many ways to GET to the afterlife, right?

It's a BIG, wide Scary universe, and no god-crutch will make swallowing the pill that must go down with both a VAST solar system, and the relatively SMALL place we have in it, any easier.

I'm more towards a broader-pagan world view now, but still except some of the judeo-christian values that are found in EASTERN religions, as WELL as western.... including: Islam, Hare-Krishna, Hinduism, Buddism, Daoism, and even the western-based philosophy of Existentalism.

this life is all about making the MOST of it, with passion and vitality, as much as possible, until you return to dust... ... and MANY of the essential truths of LOVE & Happiness / Community are Ecumenical and across Culture or Religion.

peace.

I'll never forget how excited I was way back in 1984 when my wife told me she thought she was pregnant. All I could think about was this new baby coming into our lives. At the time I was working two jobs and was a chaplain on staff for an organization known as "Youth For Christ". My primary assignment was juvenile hall In San Jose Ca. Everything seemed so perfect and my elation was over the top until the next day when my wife began to have extreme pain. I rushed her to the hospital and after the doctor examined her she said that my wife was having a tubal pregnancy. He said that they would have to take the baby or she would die. Naturally, we said ok.

Devastated and heartbroken I went to my ministry friends and asked them to pray for us. Then, one minister who had always been heavily involved in the anti-abortion movement told me that we should not let them take the baby. He said that it must be God's will for my wife to die. He even asked me where my faith was. My reply was that my faith was gonna be shoved right up his ass if he didn't get the hell away from me.

My point? It is a personal decision and sometimes the circumstances go way beyond any religious beliefs you may have. That is why I believe that the right to choose is so important. In our case, we chose life. My wife's life. I have no regrets about that............

THanks for that Stoneman; very candid and very appropriate to the discussion.

With a touching & difficult REAL_LIFE example, of WHY the woman must have the right to CHOOSE...

sounds like you may have met some of the hypocritical types that drove me away from Organized Religion.

And yet... I currently SHARE the top 20 of Christian/Spiritual Genre Charts, with greats like former artist of the week, Stephen John , and CURRENT artist of the week = Petra Luna!
Thank you to all who've listened and been understanding.

peace.
