Why does music leave so much of an impact in people's lives?
Isn't it amazing with the emergence of the internet, that with so much music available, I wonder that in another 10 years whether music will have an impact like it has in the past. There just seems to be so much available that I wonder if we are drowning people with too much variety. I love music and am a songwriter, so I know first hand how music impacts people's lives. Recently I heard from a friend of mine who was telling me that a lady who came to see me sing one time, enjoyed my music so much that she actually bought my CD and uses it to help deal with her sickness. She told him that when she was feeling down she would play my CD and it gave her encouragment. I praise my God that He would use my humble feeble efforts to encourage others. And we all have stories of CDs or even music that lifted us up when we where down. But are we flooding the market with too much music? Am I doing an diservice to the many people who want to devote their lives to music? I am interested in your view and thoughts on this matter.

Take care all,

Adrian Tabone

There's a saying in my business (I'm an Exhibit Designer by day) that goes "If you can't make it good, make it big. If you can't make it big, make it red." What happens is the world gets cluttered up with big red things. They get noticed because they're big and red. If the good things sit there quietly they get swallowed up by the big ugly red things. So we small good things have to constantly say "Hey! Over here!" In our tiny voices. A few people who are looking for something that isn't big and red will notice us down here and say "Oh my God - that's beautiful!" (God is not used in vain in this context). The Internet is as cluttered with "Big Red" as TV and radio is. I think small and good has a much better chance of rising to the top here, but only if you constantly promote it. Carefully. And only if it's good.
