What they are saying ,about THE LIGHTS, on sSTAGE

"I like this band alot: they've got guts and grit and they still manage to have a polished act....Well-crafted rock songs are colored by the individual talents of each band member. Charlie Kulis has a distinct presence as a vocalist, balanced by the equally singular sounds of Michael DoCampo's guitar work. Doug Schofield adds a sensitivity that is most welcome on keyboards, tempering a bit of the edge. And keeping it all going is the rhythm section of bassist John Murphy and Bob Capraro, an excellent drummer."
[at The Bitter End / Karen Wittenfield -Music Paper]

"The tone of casual professionalism remained during the rest of the set, with Kulis projecting a tough swagger during "Little Sister" that was downright Broooce-ish. John Murphy built an Adam Clayton-like tension on the bass (see "With or Without You")' and the dramatic building of the song had eveyone enthralled.
The energy level of the band similarly kept building as the show progressed, resulting in a most appreciative response from the crowd. It was certainly well deserved; an obvious intellegence was at work here, perfectly complimenting the instrumental prowess." [at The Bitter End / Kevin Zimmerman-Goodtimes]

"The Lights deliver rock from both pretention and banality, using interesting chordal passages and melody twists to give new distinction to the rock song."
[at The Ritz / Jennerfer Shields-Inner City Editor-Music Paper]
