When You Record and Send Your Files
Just some things I've noticed from getting these files. Use where applicable.

1. When recording vocals, back off the mic 12''-18''. This cuts down on popped P's and B's. Also, this cuts down on the low end; a lot of the files have been really bass-heavy. Try placing the mic up high and aiming it down at your mouth. Don't look up at the mic; that kind of defeats the whole purpose.

2. When preparing the files, don't use any reverb. I'm trying to put everyone in the same room.

3. Don't combine parts on the same track. If you want to put two parts on the same stereo file, hard pan them to the sides. that way I can just split the tracks.

4. Don't chop off the beginning of the file.

What seems to be working best is sending mp3s. 192 kbps is a good compromise between quality and file size. Go ahead and send a stereo file even if your track is mono; no biggie.
