I am officially setting up a luthier shop.
That is correct. I am almost comfortable calling myself a master carpenter after 25 years of old world jointery experience as well as 30 years experience setting up and building/customizing guitars.
I will be performing restorations on violins, cellos, and all other stringed instruments as well.
The beautiful thing is I will be able to work from home and be with my grandchildren who live with me.
My first project aside from beginning construction on templates for a Jazz acoustic I designed, I will be restoring an extremely cool 1932 Martin 12 string that fell apart after a basement flood and exposure to standing water for an extended period of time.
To say I am excited is an understatement.
We will be documenting the shop setup and hosting a new YouTube channel to showcase our projects with how to type videos.
I will keep you all posted.
Cheers!

BIG congrats. Such important work that not many people would know how to do. I know you'll have great success! You deserve to get paid really well for this too. After word gets around about the restoration of the Martin 12 string, and other projects, I'm sure you will.

Congratulations, Noah!
That is amazing. I am envious of anybody who has skills like these, as I can barely hang a picture straight.
Super excited for you and your new venture! Good luck with it. And, you MUST post pictures of your creations, as they are completed!
Deal?

Dude! Sounds great, and enjoyable!
'32 twelve string sounds like a challenge, I must say :)

Oh... you're going to be putting your work on YouTube...
Didn't read that so well earlier today at four in the morning...
I'm a bit one-eyed at the moment. Very Cool.
Uh, very cool, that is, that you'll be putting out videos of your work
that we can see on You Tube.
Not so fantastically cool about being mono-visioned at the moment,
but I'm hoping I will make a full recovery sooner or later.

Hah!
The plan is to use the YouTube platform to showcase the work gainfully. Not to mention the comment section is where you find all the expert feedback. :)
The '32 is going to be serious challenge. It has warped, cracked and separated top and bottom. The bottom is in five prices and it is missing some of the interior bracing as well as missing the binding on the fretboard.
The neck is surprisingly straight as a rail.
One other horrific detail is the pint of glue poured throughout the structure in a feeble attempt to repair it by the person who owned it before I acquired it.
It is a beauty though, with Brazilian rosewood sides and back and the classic CMF MARTIN inlay on the headstock.
I will definitely be sharing pics with you all. :)

Noah, you make me wish I had a truckload more money than I do.
I'd commission you to make me an acoustic guitar that'd make angels cry.
Hey Lord, can I have a ton of money please?
Yes I know you know how to kick my ass, and I was a good girl/boy,
I got off the weed and the alky like you said. Can I have money now please?
Thank you Lord.
Noah, Bless You With Prosperity Up The Yikyack.
