I like thinking up names for things and I like the idea of a gardening club being called The Flat Turf Society. Yeah, I know :)

Watched some of those flat earth videos on youtube as one of my friends has been duped into the thing, and posted something on FB, what can you say, guess they are looking for answers to the universe and explanations of why we are here. interesting but nonsense although I would never call the person out on it, he is a fellow musicians, very critical thinker, analytical quite intelligent and very spiritual, not sure why people get duped into that thing, looking for something beyond what is real.
strange

Conspiracy theories are an innocent past time for me. I find it very interesting the things people believe and ideas they pursue.
There is a psychology behind the rationale and it seems to stem from control issues. Basically, it's like compensating for a lack of perceived control in our daily lives. For example, most managerial types or people who direct others and/or exercise some sort of physical control throughout their day are less inclined to have a need for conspiracies.
It's actually kind of sad, and I try not to be too critical of those who buy into conspiracies. It is their way of making sense of things and experiencing some sort of control where they probably otherwise feel burdened or littled by oppressive situations.
