Song for My Mom
I have not spoken of it much lately, but my Mom is battling Cancer
The following are lyrics I wrote for her today, I have music to them and hope to record it soon.
Mother Mary - Lyrics Jeff Allen Myers 11/14/2008
A Coal Miners's Daughter born in fourty-three
A sweet West Virginia Destiny.
Four Brothers five Sisters Surrounded you
With the gift of love you made it through.
You met a fine man in nineteen sixty-two
And he fell in Love with his sweet Mary Lou.
The two of you married back in sixty-three
And soon you started a new family.
Oh Mom,
I'm a lucky man you raised me and made me who I am.
Mother Mary,
You will always stand right here next to me, you will always be with me..
Mother Mary....
We moved into a home in nineteen-seventy.
After working hard and saving.
I remember it like it was just yesterday.
Your little Boy was sick and you made it go away....
Oh Mom,
I'm a lucky man you raised me and made me who I am.
Mother Mary,
You will always stand right here next to me, you will always be with me..
Mother Mary....
I'm now a man, your two sons have grown.
Now we have a family of our own.
Brother Mike and I try to be the best we can.
To Caitlin, Meghan, and sweet Aidan.
Oh Mom,
You're a Grandma now, you are blessed with three Grand Children .
Mother Mary
Sweet Memories will always be with them,
We will always Love you, Sweet Mary Lou.....
