We are Lost on an Island...
Does any one else think it's strange that with over 100,000 "sessions" on average its always the same handful of people posting on the Pipeline, give or take a few new Characters, who most likely are one of the few already represented?????
I think it strange.....
Not much seems to be happening on the pipeline.... are we lost on an island in the eye of a hurricane???
Hellooooooooooo is there anybody out there???....

well I see a lot of new people hop on for hit and run promo and maybe they need people taking them by the hand and getting them acclimated.
Seems like the various anons aren't posting as much, maybe they're tired of the same people taking offense to everything they say, that's just a guess.
Possibly with facebook and all these things forums are not what they used to be.
Everybody should try to post an interesting topic now and then.

Oh please Scott, The Anons love when people take offense... for some its their sole purpose. :)
I don't believe its a question of being taken by the hand either...
There should be more music/artists/listeners interacting with the numbers I am seeing..
Just a personal observation...... I am not going to speculate as to the various reasons people choose to participate...., or not...
I would like to see more people dive in...I think we all would.
Peace..

Hmmmm... I have to agree.
'Course we HAVE lost a few GREAT bloggers lately Anjuli, Brendan, Papa George, and even Ray Porter, for example....
But, YES. The Pipeline should REFLECT the better numbers we're seein' lately, shouldn't it? That's quite a point.

What about songs which get lost,
two of my songs have gone missing in action in the recent weeks,
if anyone spots any missing songs, send an artist mail to the artist concerned informing them so they can re-upload
:)
keep bloggin'!

A couple weeks ago Bam had said there were going to be some improvements
as a result of new parterships with the site. I'm eager to see the changes he mentioned put in place. Maybe things will perk up when that happens.
As to Jeff's point - it is baffling that the same few people blog all the time and thousands are missing in action. Guess what? There are only 10 members on the whole site! We all crashed here on a plane and we flash backward and foward in time. The other 990,000 members became trapped in an alternate universe unable to post on the Pipeline because in their time the Pipeline hasn't been invented yet. We are the the "Survivors" and they are the "Others". It's all part of a plan called the IAC Initiative. According to the laws of time and space everything will work out in the end. If you don't watch "Lost" you won't know what I'm talking about but then again it's all incomprehensible anyway, just like life itself. Maybe that's the point.
Flash sideways to reality: Some folks are very dedicated to the success of the site and of their music. Some are only interested in their own music like the hit and runners so they lay back and let everyone else do the heavy lifting of keeping the site alive. They're not interested in interacting with people on a daily basis. Sometimes somebody will pop in and say they don't hang around because it's all too boring. Is it the job or the responsibilty of the only people who do post here regularly to make it exciting for the "others"? Jeez, we try but it would be nice to get some help. It's difficult for the same few people to keep coming up with interesting things to say everyday. I guess it's a cycle: There's less posting of songs for review because there are so few willing to review them besides the same few who always do. It would be nice to see some new faces joining in the
discussions and even initiating them.

Well, LOST is kind of the same thing
...only it has a Time/Space continuum twist, instead of the Harlem Globetrotters and Coconut radios)

I think this Island is covered with people ....
We are just the only ones unlucky enough to fall into the cesspool in the middle ... and the only ones lucky enough to see and smell the roses that bloom on the edges ...
