Recording this weekend..The Wifey and Kid are away....
I will record a tune this weekend as My wife and Son go to stay with her Sister down at the beach. Its very hard to find time to record with my Son wanting to play, Thats ok, because I cherish evey minute with him, he is at the stage his every sentence is funny, adorable, and surprising. Those of you who are parents and have had the opportunity to spend extended time with a two and a half year old know what I mean. I am constantly amazed at the things out of his mouth..his sense of humor and grasp of "concepts" make me shake my head wondering "where the heck did he learn that?"\\
So, this weekend is a rare opportunity to track. It will be my last song on my old set up, a Korg 1600MKII. I have upgraded to a 3200, and have bought some new outboard gear that I will set up near the end of the weekend...Because I want to get something finished, I will track one last song on the 1600 as I can record on it in my sleep.
The song to be recorded is called "Gemini" a title inspired by my own astrological sign Hope you check it out when it is posted, probably sometime Sunday..
Gemini Words and Music Jeff Allen Myers
Inside each of us are two people,
Who search for different ends
Never going the same way.
One lives honestly by truth passed on
in books of faith and greed.
The other one just wants to live.
Ambition is lost on those who never try
Gemini my friend,
you sabotage yourself within.
You don't know what you want to be
Please believe me, why?
You're torn apart Gemini.
Seconds pass and hours fade
as time leads a deadly march
Which life will you choose to live?
You have to find yourself
each path you take will lead you to an end.
Regret is a Cancer that will spread.
Ambition is lost on those who never try
Gemini my friend,
you sabotage yourself within.
You don't know what you want to be
Please believe me, why?
You're torn apart Gemini.

"I know how you feel when life takes the front seat to recording. But your kids are the ultimate creation, right? They are a song being perfected every day. Who knows, maybe someday your son will be playing and singing along!"
Tom you are so right, I will never create anything better!!!! His is a gift and a miracle...
I hope he follows in my footsteps, I would love to produce his band someday :)
Code, that is cool! I know you are loving it.
