Ghost Of My Baby
I'm recording alot of music at the moment - as i've been creating a new song/track every 2 weeks since October last year in a challenge with my friend Colette (who's been doing one every 2 weeks too)..
Very intense, time consuming and challenging -but really rewarding too..
I'm trying to become the hero in my own little inner drama lol-Especially if i can keep this up to the end of the year like i want to..
.
Up to #17 now..
Here's one of the recent ones i've written/recorded anyway -i hope you enjoy :) Ghost Of My Baby

What an awesome song man. I loved it! You keep setting the bar higher for yourself. Highly charged mood, great harmonies, exceptional transitions and a very endearing lyrical flow.
You Rock!

You've done it again - I can't believe the every 2 week aspect of all this. Don't know if you meant to, but it sounds sort of ghostly in spirit (honestly, no pun intended). There's a great catchy running 8th note bass line at some points that's really exciting and don't even get me started about the one time vocal harmony break - suffice it to say I love that part haha.
True respect, really ....

Steve, I liked this song before ever hearing it - what a great title! Wish I'd come up with that concept. Really dug the a capella break (or is there a bass there?). It's a really great song! The finger-snapping intro is killer.

It's interesting how such a small detail as a finger snap could add so much flavor to a song. Michael Jackson would have loved it! All the instruments are locked together so perfectly and they create a musical landscape that is at once classic as well as contemporary. The vocals have just the right ambiguous blend of pop and alternative which makes them a lovely moving target that the ears enjoy chasing to define. This song like so much of your work gives a new and more positive meaning to the word "escapism". Your songs are literally out of this world. And of late, that's a very good place to be.
