"I feel like this song is about me. Suppose that's the mark of a great one. And it is."
Maybe my new favorite Ison song.

Nastalgic, memorable, fun and so very much a Steve Ison song. Wonderful lyrics! This sounds like it should be the theme song for a television show about a man who lives with his parents. I dont know exactly when I grew up, but I do know that every now and then the little boy in me still comes out to play. This is a timeless and masterful work. Great chord structures and awesome vocals. The musicianship is top notch. As always, You Rock!
Much Respect,

This song has a very classic feel to it. I can see the influence of the Kinks, especially of Ray Davies. The dreamy landscape has all the trademark qualities
of an excellent Steve Ison production. Good music and words as always!

Great arrangement, guitar tones, singing ... just a great track all around. I love the melody, and its rhythm. And then you go and add some great lyrics - I wish there were more, but a good song always leaves me wanting more. Really nice song.

Damn, Steve - this is such really good song writing - how do you do it? I think you've completely mastered the art of the rhythm hook (the chorus, never growing up etc) Also there's a hint of nice guitar lead that you snuck in there towards the end. Might have been interesting to loosen up and expand that just a tiny bit. God knows, I hate over indulgent guitar leads, but I wanted to hear a little more of what you started at that point.
Plus this describes - in the nicest way - so many guys I know haha

I couldn't be more impressed by your work ethic and it's results, Steve. These latest songs are the makings of a really great album. Which would be my preferred way to listen to them because I don't want it to end. WOW.

Dolores/Dick -Many thanx !
Dolores..I'm not a natural lead guitarist at all (i don't even know scales) so there's never any chance of me of 'loosening up' there ! lol..So try and get away with the minimum i can in those situations where a solo's demanded
Dick..I've definitely got to think of completing an album at some point with these songs -tho it involves alot of tedious organising processes i don't enjoy - plus financial outlay (mastering/artwork/CD production etc) so i find it difficult to get round to doing it if i'm honest
There always seem to be more enjoyable creative things i want to do !

I'd say there's every chance of loosening up especially because you don't know scales - that's what I hate, those intricate guitar leads that should have quit 10 minutes ago but keep going till the guy has played EVERY scale he knows hahahaha - but anything you play is OK with me Steve :)
