There is just a tremendous amount of talent on this website...it's amazing how many gifted people there are in music...I hope they all survive to master their craft to share with the rest of the people in the world via downloads, cd sales, and concerts

How right you are Don, sometimes it makes me feel quite sad when I see how good artists are (especially young ones) and I know that a large percentage will give up on their dreams becoming disillusioned or cynical. Then I think, but wait they are using their life well, making good memories, making other people happy and enjoying their dream while it lasts and I cheer up again :) And actually I think there are very few musicians who totally abandon their art - Jawzy

Good post!

I agree with Jilly ----------few musicians give up ---but they often feel undervalued and helpless, when it comes to marketing their talent.
This site is a leading example of the power of collaberation and co operation------with the genre charts giving an indication of progress and adding a bit of competition.
I have heard so many fine artists on IAC I am no longer surprised when a new member delivers some extraordinary piece-----it is just a matter of time

I kind of wish I had IAC and the Internet when I was in my 20's, what an equalizer it is. If anything, it's been amazing just to put work out there to get feedback, see how stuff does, and IAC has been remarkably positive in terms of the respect the artists show to each other.
