Let me be the first to say it's a great song Phlegm! You're really getting in touch with your inner Beatle!!!! I love everything about it, including the raw live sound. It's another winner from the Phlegm factory. Keep the assembly line rolling, my friend!

The Guitar has a "I've got a feeling" vibe. The song has a late sixties early seventies feel, which is alright by me Bro :) The musicianship sounds solid, I would like to hear it recorded a little better, it deserves to be heard. I hate when people bang on production, but the song has merit so I think it deserves a full treatment. Good Luck! Jeff

It made me wiggle ... and I'm still wiggling ... it's making it very hard to type
I like the rolling stones mantra "You can't always get what you want but you can get what you need" in there which is awesome because usually Beatlers and Stoners are on separate sides of the coin but you have managed to splice both their dna and prove that they are two great tastes that taste great together while adding a bit of your own flavour !
wiggle ........... wiggle

Phlegm,
This is a real gem. I'm totally diggin' it and REALLY want to add it to my SuperPuss Feline Underground Club but there's one small problem....... it is WAY too loud!!! It is nearly double the volume of all the other tunes!
Any chance you could adjust the level a tad?
Regardless, it is a VERY cool tune. Great stuff. =^.^=

I don't have the tools to remix it, but MAYBE somebody out there does?
I'd LOVE to have another LIVE tune make it to your Feline Underground Club!
Is it possible it's just THIS recording? Would one of our other 8 lives tunes interest you SuperPuss?
THANKS for the positive vibes!
Anjuli-- YOu always make my day. Rock on y'all.

Phlegm,
I could do a remix of this but not right now. I have a TON of work on at present doing the final mix of two new live compilation albums for my record label we are hoping to have on the market before Christmas.
After that, I'd LOVE to do a remix of Broken Joke..... and if you ever get the chance to visit Australia, I'd love to record a version of it with you in my studio. :-)

I just saw this. Listened. And really dug it!
Reminds me a bit of George singing with Wings, if that makes any sense to you.
Great tune. And surprisingly listenable for a boombox recording.

Well.... Even praise from RAY, although "we have yet to see you at your best" --took a moment to digest --- just another way of sayin' "the best is yet to come", eh?
LIKE your thinkin' RAY, and working towards that end, hopin' that it holds true.
And thanks as well to Auset, Todd (hop on pop) and Tommy Sandler & Charlie Thomas --y'all have MADE my NIGHT! Thank you.

Dude this is a cool little jam man... diggin the chords, the flow and the drums... totally feeling the Beatles in that one but slightly more contemporary... kinda reminds me of Marcy Playground a bit, you ever listen to those guys? Jon Wosniak is the man.

Hey, thanks for keepin' the THREAD alive Jesse!
Yeah, I like this one too....would LOVE to do a gnarly studio version, it's on my list of things to do, along with hundreds of other TUNES over the last 8 years. These things must be done WISELY, when you don't have your own studio yet. In time, but for now I focus on the tunes with the players that come my way...and when money comes our way...we record professionally.
Our newest drummer has a few ideas about recording ourselves with hi-fidelity quality, for low to ZERO budget, that may pan out eventually. That would cut out part of the middle man, and THEN all we'd do is pay the dude I've come to respect (Bradley Torrison) for MIXING the raw tracks...
Urrrr.... sorry... more info. than you cared to know. ANYWAY, thanks for diggin' this one, AS IS, LIVE !

Well... Todd, the coolest thing is he came out of the same punk/indie/underground scene that attracted me to Tucson local Underground music & desirin' to become a part of it. I'll find out Tonight at band practice, but if he hasn't heard GBV, I'll bet he'll dig 'em! This may be the closest match yet.
And he hasn't skipped out on even a single practice, or flaked without even calling. If that trend continues, I've got a keeper. Either way, it'll be a fun musical ride in the meantime. I've learned not to hang on to tightly. Musicians have that free-spirit thing ya know, they'll stay while it's FUN or makin' money, but anything beyond that is a GIFT!
But --yeah, I'll be checkin' on GBV and tons of other artists to see what we've got in common. We were in a band together for 2 nites once, called TEXAS TRASH and the HANGOVERS, and we played one show. I guess it was enough to gain his interest in the project, now that his other one is over due to a horrible accident for TEXAS TRASH, the frontman himself. WHo by the way, you would dig. He used to hang out with G.G. Allin as a teenager & shit....blah...blah.blah...
Anywhoo..... WOW! I've gotta stop blog commentin' for the day.
I could've written a whole BLOG on this crap, eh?
