Thanks to any and all listeners who helped BROKEN JOKE to make it into he TOP 20 of LIVE Performances -y'all are WONDERFUL to us!
Thank you to everybody out there in IAC Land, and especially folks like TODD, Steve Ison, Larree & RAY Porter, and all the stations, who put BROKEN JOKE, one of our many LIVE tunes, into the TOP 20 of all LIVE PERFORMANCES.
THAT's what I'm talkin' about, folks with the VISION to see how cool a song would be if you had the money and the musicians to take it to the studio!
I gotta admit, I think the PUNK live tunes are WAY cooler, but I'm glad my crazy eclecticism and eccentricities are appreciated by many IACers, from ALL walks of Musical Life.
LIVE is where the rubber hits the road folks.
I hope, if I'm ever truly successful, and can record professionally EVERYThing THAT the muse has been sendin' my way, I never forget the truth about PERFORMANCE over studio work. -pHLeGm

THANK you to J. P. Sharpe, who by the way hasn't gotten back to me on doin' a punk/rockabilly cover of "Used to be cool back in high school blues"...anyhoo... thanks!
And TODD of Hop on Pop -- you KNOW I'd dig jammin' with ya! You've got TONS of great tunes, and probably an even MORE eclectic music appreciation then mine... wait, no DEFINITELY a broader, more eclectic styles samplin' then I do. urrr..... I mean THANKS! Hope I get to visit Chicago again someday!
SILVERWOOD STUDIO = you guys have always been good to us, but I'm TRULY honored to be in your TOP 50 for two of my LIVE tunes. It's funny-- 'cause you picked two that show some of the GREATEST diversity! THANK you brothers and sisters! -pHLeGm

just saw your notes on this silverwood. Perfect timing too, just had a weird discussion with Kev White 'bout lo-fi & high standards for production quality as a piece of what makes up your art. Man, if I had to wait 'til everything was perfect, before releasing my art to the public, with over-embellishing factors considered, I might've remained a closet musician. SIGH. You just can't please everybody. If you heard it, according to Ray Porter, in that interview, our music is "hated by 90% of IAC & loved by 10%" !! I guess the lo-fi factor of many of the tunes is one of the many reasons for that.
Good to be reminded that a well crafted song can shine through a crappy LIVE recording.... when there seems to be such an over-focus on PERFECTION in production around here sometimes....
Thanks again for all the nice comments, and ESPECIALLY for the honour of a couple of our LIVE tunes being in the TOP 50 LIVE selections, by Silverwood You guys do some GREAT music, so it really does mean A LOT to me, and ROCK ON.
