Raymond Porter in Conversation with Conversation Suicide (from Substation 9 in Outer Space)?
yup. Ray did this interview with me a couple of months before we left to visit the UK, and he originally thought we'd have to SCRAP it, due to the "Mission Control talking to Phlegm Phrom Deep Space" factor.
If you think of me up in a space station somewhere, thousands of miles away, it's REALLY not that bad of an interview!
Again, a HUGE thanks to Raymond Porter for including me amongst all the talented artists he's already been in conversation with, and for the lovely job of cleanup and editing, to help make this piece more listenable.
To all who are nice enough to choose to give these two longwinded deep space interviews a listen, PLEASE do so! It may change your life. == : - )

Todd, I have no doubt if we ever get to hang out, we'd find a lot of things to connect on.
Jammin', like you'd mentioned before t'would be MOST awesome, indeed!
Thanks for checkin' out the interview, it means a lot.
Raymond's really done a great job with these, eh? And his humour (often quite dry) reallly makes them shine.
Anyhoo... rock on, my good man. -pHLeGm

I just listened to the whole interview. Great stuff! I just love these interviews Ray does. It really gives you more background on the musicians and an opportunity to see where they are coming from.
Wow-- 10 kids! I thought I had my hands full with three.

THanks Jesse, J.P. and Silverwood, it really means a LOT that talented folks like yourselves would give my interview from outer space the time of day.
Ray should really again be commended for ALL of his interviews! That's given us a window into many of the artists we've come to know and love, eh?

Yeah, me to -- I've really become a fan of this community of Artists, that's probably the BEST way we help each other get the word out about IAC bands we like, and such. Feels like you REALLY know some of these folks, eh?

Great interview, Ray and Phlegm! I love the humor, warmth and intelligence that radiates from both of you. I enjoyed every minute of both interviews not to mention that my name came up twice! That really shocked me and of course I was very flattered and honored that a beloved and talented artist would point me out as a positive influence in the IAC community. That was very big of you!
Congrats on showing us yet another side of your mutil-facted personality. I feel like I know you a lot better and I hope you attain your rock and roll dreams because you deserve it.

Richard, thank you for checkin' out the interview, and I didn't even have to hook you in by mentionin' that you were name dropped! (kidding)
Honoured that you were interested enough to give Ray's work a listen, and appreciate all the positive thoughts you're throwin' my way.
It's been a crazy couple of days of bloggin', in between everything else.
I must rest now.

first ya wanna hit me, than you want to have me have my way with you..... Truly an honour to be told I have a sexy voice, by one of the SEXIEST voices (vocals & BLOGS!) on this crazy IAC music thingeeee...... THANKS Anjuli! Ya make a guy feel oh-so sultry...
Yes Nocturnal Sunz you fuckin' rock it! Now PLEASE put up some more tunage asap - the phans await! -pHLeGm
BY the way, Anjuli - wanna be sure there's no confusion here I just meant that it's an honor to be told I have a nice voice from somebody with such an incredible singing voice and amazing creative writing skills shown in the blogs. Just to be sure ya know, as I've said many times before, I love my wife Princezzz and have no interest in any other female. Or male 'cause I'm not gay doh! Not that there's anything wrong with that...durrrr.... I better stop before I insert my foot in mouth further.
Anyhoo. Just didn't want you to think I had any interest in you, beyond music and as an artist on IAC.

Plem andi both pondered whether to release this one or because of the sound quality. However listening to these positive respones that as in music quality of content is just as important as quality of sound.
It was a great joy and experience to hear the hublness, honesty and warmth in Phlems words.
Thanks Phlem, it was a joy talking to you as it was with all the other artists.
I wonder who i will talk to next?
Choosy Susie ?
That would be fun.

Phlegm, I would have listened reagrdless of whether or not my name was mentioned. You're an enigma at times and that's always interesting. I wanted to see if you could live up to your own hype and I was quite surprised at how grounded you were. Far from being from outer space, I thought you were very down to earth. It was refreshing.

Richard, thank you for that. Enigma? hmmm... I guess that works for the image I'm pushin' here, thanks for seeing that my feet are MOSTLY planted on the ground, though.
Sam, I would LOVE to go out to dinner with you when we're out that way sometime. It'll probably be for a show, so maybe I could drag you to the show too? I'll let you know if and when that's possible. And THANKS for carin' enough to listen, man!
HUGE thanks to The CODE too... one of my favorite bands on IAC. Still sad we didn't get to see them, when they were only about 70 miles away from us, in Oxford. But no matter, we're gonna make SURE we hook up in England, when we visit in May/June of 2009....assuming of course that Colin and crew are not touring in some other Country then!
THANK you again to all who took the time to listen to the VERY long winded interview, so wonderfully done by Ray, while I was galavanting around in outer space.

Yup - I just finished an enjoyable listen too - well done you two! We do that method of recording too - I like to keep a selection of bass 'n' drum tracks to work on later and we can generally get a half dozen or so done in a day in the studio. Then I can work on the songs at my leisure so to speak (the manyana principle). Maybe we'll meet next time you visit the sceptered isle....

Hey Eaglehead! We've Seen you up in the blogs a number of times, and we're definitely interested in meetin' up sometime when we're in England again. The priority for this next trip is YORK sightseeing for my wife and meeting with some of the members of Romulus X Records UK the label we hope to be on. If not at THAT time, then certainly when we finally MOVE there. Thanks for the listen, and very cool to hear others using similar recording methods!
And thank you again to ALL who gave the interview Ray did a listen. It means a lot to be heard. I guess some of us overly-sensitive indie artist types are just cryin' out fer it, like little musical babies...
