$50 bucks a head to the movie extras he hired to beef up his crowd numbers on announcement day. So far, so good.

The clown car is right! I can't say I could name a single Republican candidate that you could seriously call a statesman/potential world leader. The Koch Brothers and that awful Sheldon Adelson will bankroll one of them and let the games begin.

Rob - I'm thinking (hoping) it's only the main stream media that takes it seriously. When I sit at the Chang Chun bar here in Brockton MA on Friday nights, people are laughing at The Donald, believe me.

Haha - and welcome! don't think you can come here and not put some guitar tracks down for Shoe City Sound! The whole city isn't all liberal, but even the right wingers are not taking Donald seriously. I can't believe what I read today that if he's elected president he says he'll have to change his hair. He honestly thinks this race is a reality TV show .... unbelievable

The only similarity between me and Trump is that my mom looks a bit like Marla Maples.
I once saw a concert at the Trump Taj Mahal though. :)

Trump Steamroller will squish all his detractors. laugh if you will but The press in the US, man , they hang on every movement ,word and action of Trump, by doing so, they are giving him FREE advertising, and instead of focusing on the REAL issues , they are focusing on HIM. the press have no idea he is playing them like a fiddle and the dumbo's they are. he is laughing at them every time he picks up a paper, listens to radio, and watches TV or follows the whole episode on the internet, the laugh is on them not Trump , and they dont get it.

Oh yeah, Bryon he is the darling of the press and the polls - even that insult to John McCain didn't hurt him - advanced his place in the polls I think. It's crazy ...

Yeah, he is getting lots of free press but that will not make him a serious contender for president. Only a few crazies actually see him as presidential material. They just like to see the Donald Trump show in order to see who he can offend next. Don't be fooled by the early polls as they are almost always flawed. Someone once said that even bad publicity is good publicity. But bad publicity in politics is a terminally destructive thing. So far most of his publicity has been bad publicity. The kind that makes millions of people stand up against you when it counts the most. He is the butt of jokes by humorists all over the nation. The Dems are loving every bit of it and they are just thankful that he doesn't claim to be a Democrat. The Republicans are walking around scratching their heads trying to figure out a way to get rid of him before he sinks their ship along with his own. Personally, I am hopeful that he keeps getting press and wins their parties nomination. Anyone running against him will win by a landslide. You can pretty much take that prediction to the bank. American politics can be very unforgiving. There are a lot of people waiting for a chance to vote him down. Even his own party has issues with him. He's just a media hound that will never get the golden bone. Bad press + politics = Loser

So Dolores, I think the press is blinded. dont you. i think they think he is off the wall. as though he seems too far a possibility to challenge anyone else in his party, but look. other contenders are honestly no match for him. their tongues seem to be tied and its all about the way he handles himself, at least he speaks his mind, not sure if the others can be as bold
Stoneman. do you think he has a chance, or no, probably not. its like he is a minefield and people are tip toeing around him
its interesting, he seems from my perspective that he is picking up steam and gaining traction

I've bitched about it to you before Bryon - we have no free press in this country, for sure. I'm just so horrified that people are taking him seriously at all. I honestly thought it was obvious that he's a complete joke. However horrified I was that Sarah Palin was being taken seriously you can multiply that by 1000. Is it because he brags about how rich he is? Are so many people brainwashed about money when people like him make sure they can never have any? And he's declared bankruptcy a bunch of times as well. I used to complain that the press treats the elections like sporting events, now they've sunk even lower - if possible - and they're reporting as if it's a reality TV show. This is so beyond unacceptable. Now even the Republicans hate him and he's having a temper tantrum and saying he'll run independently if they are not nicer to him - just like a big spoiled brat. It's so humiliating that running for President of the United States can be reduced to a freak show like this. Did anybody ever see that movie "Idiocracy"? The similarities are scarey
Noah Spaceship - I'm a dumbass and the Sweet Georgia Brown reference goes completely over my head - I know it's lame to explain a joke, but could you? haha
