Really now, I thought it was brilliant and rather uncanny how the 2 fit together like that.

you see, and this is why I have to spend long long times away
from the pipe, 'cause I keep smokin' that sucker, man.
to me, the mere suggestion of this, is disturbing, man.
there are some Beatles songs you just don't cover ever, man.
I can think of two. Mr Moonlight, and A Day In The Life.
For different reasons, man.
Mr Moonlight, is hideously terrible.
A Day In The Life, well that's a bit like covering Strawberry Fields Forever.
It's just sacrilege. That's my opinion, man. I come with 'em. Opinions.
Stay Crazy My Friends.
There's a guy running round here, man, calling everybody crazy.
What is the one sane person in the world doing here?
How did they even find the place, man?

ALJ - I cover A Day in the Life AND Strawberry Fields Forever. I also do I am the Walrus. Solo on acoustic guitar. I kick ass on those tunes. Some have told me I am better than the original.
FT - I am not really a fan of mash-ups like this. Just my opinion in general.

Okay Larree, You're On. Oh I gotta hear these, Dude.
I did a parody of I Am The Walrus
that actually became well known enough
that it got listed in a list of I Am The Walrus parodies
in a wiki entry for I Am The Walrus.
Seriously, You did freakin' Walrus?
Now, see, that's what I mean, maybe we're speakin' different dialects of
the English Language, but that sounds like a lot of work to me,
if you did it right, and I already know, you have that option,
you do know HOW to do stuff right, I've checked out enough of your work,
note work, yes work I did say work,
yeah man, I ain't made no money to speak of,
some at mp3.com and I blew that on bullshit promotion.
And Strawberry Fields too, huh.
Please put them out, Larree. Inquiring minds want a look at those puppies.

Yeah, I don't like 'mash-ups' either... it's beyond annoying.
Some dipshit made a whole Beatle album of that shit,
they need to be beaten with salamis.

Yeah, Larree.
Let me hear your work on all three of them if you please.
A Day In The Life.
Yeah, I can't hardly wait man. Unveil The Mojo.
The Dude Abides.

Well, I should do a cover of "Mr. Moonlight". After all, the Beatles covered it. In fact, they must have loved it for some reason, seeing how it was a staple of their live act for some time. But then, I'm sure we all have attachments to some questionable songs, just because maybe they're what we learned some of the art on, and we're sentimental. I know I am. Even about "Mr. Moonlight". I wuz ALIVE (and pretty much sentient) when I heard it first and repeated the whole album many times and had to hear it again. And again. I know I first thought, "What the fucking fuck?", but it gradually grew on me. That's what repeated listening will do for you. There are so many intricacies and things to discover in that tune. I just wish there were ever so much better digital remasters of it, the better to hear those buried gems.

Well, Mr Dan,
I have to say, I know what you mean about repeated listening
to records by The Beatles.
It's like repeated listenings of no other artist, ever.
Did they know how amazing they were? Maybe yes and no, bit of both.
But boy could they put together records, them and George Martin...
They really did set the bar high. It's left up to us, to learn to jump better.

I disagree, ALJ. I think repeated listening of any great album, not just Beatle albums; or even a piece of classical music, is like that. Same goes for great jazz and swing music. Spend a few months with Duke Ellington music and you will hear some seriously good stuff poppin' out of those records.

Larree, you'll just disagree with me to disagree with me.
Well we agree on one thing.
We each think the other is a weenie.
The Beatles were the Kings...
and will remain so, till the Next Kings show up...
could happen anytime. Ya never know.
Oh and Dave Gilmour is an even bigger weenie than you are, Larree.
I once yelled at him for dosing Syd Barrett.
Yeah, I am that way.
He actually became indignant, as if it had been his civic duty,
no repentance, no "I'm very sorry for what I did to Syd, poor guy landed
in a mental hospital because of my repeatingly dosing him with LSD"
all Dave Gilmour had to say to me about that was,
"Syd was destroying the group! Pink Floyd would not have been
were it not for me!!" or something very close to that effect.
It was a MySpace conversation quite a few years ago.
I then decided he was a mega uber weenie.
So, it could be worse, Larree, you could be Dave Gilmore.
But, you're a weenie, and you probably wish you were him.
Later Peeps,
Later Weenie...

What the fuck does that have to do with the video I just posted? You need to get over yourself, man. The world does not revolve around you. Okay? Okay.
Oh. I see. You were responding to my post from a few days ago. No. I don't disagree just to disagree.
Sheesh.
