Hillary gets a net gain of around 8 total delegates, she's acting like she's headed for the nomination and media depicts this as great victory.
I see Hillary's fear mongering campaign was somewhat successful in Ohio and Texas. More and more I see that she's apparently trying to win by targeting the less intelligent people (the idiotic majority) and I predict she's going to somehow swipe the nomination from Obama in the long haul.
What kind of a candidate rallies against the importance of words? Words represent thought, represent ideas, represent content. We saw Hillary's solutions tested once before on health care and she embarrassed herself. This week she's tried to claim that she and McCain are the ones who will protect us, yet both of them voted for the dumbest war in the history of mankind where all this money that could've been used for better purposes went towards what? How dare she put down a candidate with better words? What she's saying as far as I see it is "Vote stupid".
Again in her celebratory speech tonight she tells us that she is the one who is ready to take that call at 3 AM. Just how is she ready? Is she going to pass the phone to Bill because that's the only advantage I see her having? Again I ask where does she get off claiming all this experience and why are voters ignorant enough to fall for it?

Will we get who we deserve?
Good God I sure hope not.

"What kind of a candidate rallies against the importance of words?"
Apparently, at least in America, a winning one.

Don't get so down Holo ... and quit that negative talk too ... :)
When the counting is over today I think you'll see Billary barely made any progress on closing the gap in the delegate count ...

Larree, did you hear that McCain has gladly accepted the endorsement of, held a public appearance last week with televangelist Reverend John Hagee, who is most known for his comments about Hurricane Katrina, that New Orleans had a level of sin so offensive to God and they were the recipients of the judgment of God for that. Based on that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that Katrina came.
He also calls the Catholic Church "a whore". McCain said that Hagee supports what I stand for and believe in.
Today Dubya is endorsing McCain. I despise what Hillary is doing right now and I wouldn't vote for her, but I'd still take her over McCain any day of the week.

Ahhh... politics at its ugly best. Not really decided on this nomination. I think it's a trade-off any way it goes.

The whole SPORT of the election is leaving a horrendous taste in my mouth.
This is a whole lot more important than the media is leading us all on to believe.

Hillbillary has nothing left but to dote on a few votes.
McCain is probably the only one I'd trust my life with. He's been there, and he knows what real terrorists can do; and that ain't waterboarding!
Obama, very smart, articulate, nice-looking, great smile; but I'm not thoroughly convinced he could handle another 911 and I do believe the terroists will strike again with more force and destruction than previously.
McCain will no doubt be endorsed by Bush, and maybe they agreed on the war in Iraq, but that doesn't make McCain another Bush.
Believe me when you're a peanut and live as others in the world of nuts, that doesn't make you a macadamia.

Believe me when you're a peanut and live as others in the world of nuts, that doesn't make you a macadamia. ... hee hee ..that's choice Muriel !
I never liked Bush ... and I never liked McCain .... and I used to be a registered Republican ... but then I saw the Light ... :)
McCain has always been a show boater and a camera hound in my eyes ... and he presents himself as rather smug just like Bush IMO ...
He has a Terrible voting record .... and just like Bush, if things aren't going his way he likes to change the rules ... I want something different in the White House ...
Maybe Obama isn't what he professes to be, but that is yet to be seen ... on the other hand I think that McCain is exactly what he professes to be ... and I've already seen it ... over and over and over again ... and it ain't pretty

----from down here in New Zealand it looks like the Dems are going to fight to the death on personality issues---while McCain will just quietly go about the business-------and watch them destroy each other!
I don't know if Obama is "the Man" but Hillary would be a disaster---she is so false--why can't folks read her body language???

I think McCain would just be a terrible president. He's not smart, and he flipflops daily. Also I'm not sure how I feel about having somebody in office who was held prisoner for so many years.
Hillary is the one who is not only going totally negative but the way she's pandering to the stupid voters is just repulsive

Sam, glad you like the nutty little ditty!
Presidents are like relationships. You never really know them until you've lived with them a while.
Regardless of who wins, I will support them and my country. I may not agree with all any one of them might do, but I will look for the good in all.

to claim victory too soon is, at best, a sign of arrogance...
Well here in the United States of Switerland (well, ok, we may be small, but hey, we're a confederation), we had a federal councillor (a far right populist) who was so sure of victory ... and so surprised of his defeat:
former minister C.B.
ain't that funny 8-)

There is something to be said about any person who holds the prospect of the highest office in a nation. I think at the most basic level all candidates deserve respect.

Bush with the way he's spent our money and eroded our liberties deserves no respect, nor does McCain deserve much who is headed down an identical path.

The Limbaugh effect (Rush told republicans to go out and vote for hillary and the news stations picked up the story) actually is said to be more significant in Texas than was originally thought. It was such a close race.
Obama won the caucuses, and more delegates in TX. HRC won the popular vote.
I know there are a couple of things that Obama needs to 'splain, and perhaps even apologize for, but none of them are quite deal breakers for me. I think he should address the farrakahn thing more directly.Tell it like it is. What does he think of the whole thing? Why does he associate with them? Problem is, if he switches churches at this point he'll be accused of being a political opportunist or a flip flopper. He's in a bit of a situation, one might say.
What IS a deal breaker (let me count the ways) is that HRC decided to claim the states of FL and MI. In the name of Democracy she's spitting in Democracy's face. She put herself on the ballot illegally and broke the party rules.
I really hope that she gets investigated and looked at with a fine tooth comb.
Where are her tax returns? The Peter Paul affair. So much potenital 'splaining that lady will have to do I predict.
Hillary has said that she'll bomb Iran.
Then what? Syria gets involved, then Israel will get involved, and so on. Then World War III. I don't want this. Not because I'm afraid or wimpy. Because I don't want more war. It would be another dumb war.
Nice doesn't win elections, and I'm thinking Obama needs to be a little less passive and a little more antagonistic. Otherwise he'll go down in history as a nice person who always took the high road and almost won a nomination.
I encourage all of you in Pennsylvania to consider voting Obama. If you have any questions about him, just ask me! ; ) I plan on going door to door there. If they don't vote for him, I'll pluck their chickens!
(Jo Ellen I like your new picture!)

Oh and Jo Ellen, I agree that they all deserve respect. I like how steers clear of attacking HRC on her 'scandals.' He never questions her experience as first lady. He honors her public service.
I just think he's gonna lose if he doesn't fight the fight.
Losing might be something he chooses over fighting the fight. We'll see.
