The Obama "bitter" remark and the sad state of current politics
It's pretty silly when they're grasping at a story to try to attack Obama that is so much about semantics that I can't even understand the point. Some of the candidates a.k.a. Hillary's camp remind me of vultures and buzzards waiting to swoop down on anything they can find and now they don't even need to find anything, they make up the context totally. Somebody posts a blog and it goes from there, it's a travesty of media.
Hillary is now going around, as Obama says, acting like Annie Oakley or a pro-gun candidate. How can somebody who goes around telling blatant lies about her record accuse Obama of being unelectable.
Fox News and O'Reilly who ran that stupid swift boat thing against Kerry 5 nights a week is still showing the same Revererd Wright clips not even trying to make a new story every single night, not missing one.
It would be so great if Obama takes PA because that would be the end for Hillary but for her to leave the race you'd have to drag the gun out of her cold dead hands.

Jon Stewart's been quite funny these days. Go to the Daily Show website and have a laugh.
Because I can't vote for Nobody, Obama's clearly the best candidate of the three, as I see it, and he has several months to prove it.
Reverend Wright is not running for president. Let's all remember that. And neither is Geraldine Ferraro.
I have a friend who's absolutely gorgeous and charismatic and smart. i'm trying to convince her to go door to door in PA this week in her Got Hope? t-shirt.

and to respond to Laree, the dems are going at each other because it's nearly a tie, and they both want it bad, and, the media really really wants a long, petty fight because it keeps things interesting, and they want to boost ratings.
don't worry, mccain is already getting his gloves on.

I think its ridiculous! People talk about Bush being an embarassment to the USA. Well, Obama & Hillary have brought the circus to town.

Laree i'm not sure where you get your information but if it's mostly the network news, i totally agree. i find the news and many newspapers to pick and choose how they want to portray the candidates. you're right, they paint them to be total elitist creeps and mccain to be come crickety old man and much more conservative than he is.
i happen to disagree (agreeably) because you know i'm an obama girl. : )
watch the daily show from last night. he talks about elitism. http://www.thedailyshow.com/ (gaffe-in)
it's a hoot.

A vote for McCain is absolutely like electing Bush for a 3rd term, which is putting back in office the worst president in American history. I don't see how any sane person let alone an artist can even think of doing that.
Hillary's campaign has been on the attack and been conjuring up dirty tricks for months. Obama responds but we learned from Kerry and the swift boat that in this era, a candidate must respond.
Reverend Wright was irrelevant from day one. Obviously even the American people see it that way because Obama's numbers are just as strong as before. This other story about "bitter" people is such a contrived non-story, I'm surprised even somebody as dim as you, Larree, fell for it. :>)
McCain wants to keep the tax policies of Bush and serve the rich and elite. Hillary is a multi-millionaire. How silly that she attacks Obama for being out of touch. Both of them are total slaves to special interest money and Washington ways.
It's such a simple choice. One candidate is brilliant. One is super ambitious. The last is old, slow-witted and consumed with the military and wars.

Obama's comment was a dumb one from a smart person. He is usually more aware of what he is doing, but when it all goes on so long, they'll all say some stuff.
I was surprised he'd make that mistake.

"Being a good speaker is simply not a sign of brilliance to me. And I believe that Obama is every bit as ambitious as Hillary. And both of them lie with no conscience whatsoever. I simply trust McCain a lot more than Hillary or Obama."
Right on, Larree!
I like my guns and my religion!

I have to say I do like McCain's personality. I just dislike what I know of his stance on the issues. I could not vote for his platform.

That was Obama's point, that people detached from their government vote based on guns and religion cause they feel they have to stake, no say in the economy or the war.
Larree, Obama has denounced Farrakhan many many times. You're obviously manipulated by the media. :>)
