Racism is still a big problem in this country. I don't blame African Americans for using the term 'Whitey"
Did you see how many people in West Virginia and Kentucky said race was an important factor in who they voted for in the primaries?
What gets me is some of these states where there are hundreds of miles of all-white landscape, these places even though they have little actual exposures to other cultures seem to have the biggest bones to pick.
There is a rumor that there's some October Surprise Michelle Obama tape where she uses the word Whitey but this just does not offend me. With the history of racism in this country, it wouldn't make sense for there to be no lasting effect.

As long as people are considered as part of groups, there will be racism. See people as individuals and it all goes away.

People can call me anything...just don't call--me late for supper. Name-calling will never die. Its a disease for which there is no cure.
But check this out!

wow,,just followed that link, thats pretty nasty.
I'm always suspicious when a speaker prefaces their words with a long list of their qualifications, and this case I was right to be ....
I didn't know Bill Clinton was running for president...
It amazes me that with so many people, including this guy, Its just a given that a vote for Hillary is a vote for Bills 3 term..he barely mentions Hillary except to call her "his wife"
hmmmmm....
And this man, this Black preacher with a PHD and sat at the round table at Oxford is telling me that I don't dare elect a Black president? And not because of his ideas or policies but BECAUSE HE IS BLACK??
Thats stunning, he doesn't mention a single thing about Baracks positions , his argument is literally that we dare not elect a black man or "black Americans will trash us all the way back to the plantations of Mississippi"
thats such a foul and juvenile thing to say that I don't really even know how to respond. Except to say..
wow...what a dick.

The world is filled with lovely flowers but if you ignore the weeds they will eventually squeeze out the beauty!
Strange happenings on the rise.

In my very very humble thoughts, (Note the total lack of qualification preceding my post) on such a difficult subject like racism, it is one of those if only things, reality is unfortunately something else.
This is a double sided problem, because some not only see others as being different and tend to associate and expect actions by those they consider different based that difference rather than their socio-economic status, but they also see themselves as being different and often relate what happens in their lives to that difference rather then they own actions. If only we could treat others and ourselves according to our own merits....
