OMG, what a day in politics. McCain, is he senile? Take a look and see for yourself. Also, Bush and Cheney BELONG IN PRISON.
Do you want a senile president? Wake up people.
and Pulitizer Prize winning author Ron Suskind's new book exposes the sad and sorry truth that Bush was so motivated to go to war with Iraq that they not only knew there were no WMDs but they forged a document to manufacture a link between Iraq and the terrorists. Suskind's interview shows an ultimate credibility here, he's brilliant. How can everyone not be outraged by this. Our White House is a criminal enterprise. This is repulsive. America's current leadership is a travesty.

1. Patriot Act renewal
2. FISA legislation gives Telcoms immunity
3. Now considers offshore drilling.
That's three strikes.

Nerol,
I see you're here arguing with me about Obama when I didn't even mention Obama. I would think you'd be interested in the Suskind story but I see so many like you on the internet. You aren't really interested in the issues. This whole thing has become a cult of personality for you and you simply want to justify that you're not voting for Obama. You care more about saying what you just said than about this huge story that broke today about the White House? What a poor excuse for a left wing guy you are.
You're ill informed, too. The offshore drilling issue in regards to Obama was simply that he was willing to allow some very selective osd in order to help accomplish a new energy bill compromise that would importantly get the ball rolling on some of the alternative energy. The last 3 days he's gone around the nation preaching about how offshore drilling is not the answer. The issue isn't as much that offshore drilling under rigid conditions is environmentally bad, but rather that it
A. won't actually cut oil prices for around 10 years and then not that much
and
B. (most importantly) It does nothing to solve the big problem.
Even that idiot McCain isn't calling him a flip-flopper on that issue because McCain knows how much Obama has been attacking offshore drilling as a solution. Pay attention. Read the news or something.

Freddie, those are micro-issues, probably relegated to state governments. Did you ever hear McCain's joke he was telling about rape?
He asked the crowd if they had heard "the one about the woman who is attacked on the street by a gorilla, beaten senseless, raped repeatedly and left to die?"
The punch line: "When she finally regains consciousness and tries to speak, her doctor leans over to hear her sigh contently and to feebly ask, "Where is that marvelous ape?"

McCain's joke about rape? You mean the one where the person who reported never heard that joke herself but it got it second hand from "mulitple sources" none who were ever named??? You mean the joke John McCain never told, right Holo???
-
"It's pretty obvious to us that this is a politically motivated sideshow," Torrie Clarke, McCain's spokeswoman at the time, said back in 1986. Till this day it has never been proven definitively true or false whether the Senator ever said the line.
The Huffington Post reached out to the original reporter in that story, Norma Coile (who after talking to multiple sources months after it was told wrote about the response to the rape joke in the Tuscon Citizen) to find out if she thought it was true.
"I'm not sure exactly what the wording was of the joke, but something was said. Some joke involving a rape and ape was said. Enough women repeated it to me at the time and the McCain campaign had a non-denial denial,"

Many people heard it and McCain didn't even deny it, but said he didn't remember telling it. Today McCain volunteered Cindy for a biker girl pageant that involved stripping and simulated sex acts with bananas. Not that she would've gone thru with it but it shows his disposition.

Holo, there is the belief that the reason so much of the money supporting "The Chosen One" is coming from outside the country is not because those sources love us and want whats best for us but quite the opposite, they want an inexperienced leader who in his own words, will not be president of all the people if elected..
"‘I will stand with the (Muslims) should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’ Quote by Obama: From Audacity of Hope. "
But we know different Holo. It's really of little concern to anyone if Obama supports allowing criminals to sue their victims if they use excessive force to protect themselves, or allowing minor girls to be transported across state lines by another adult for the purpose of an abortion without parental notification, or would allow adult-type of businesses to operate withing 100 yards of public schools. These are trivial matters that are really of little concern. Understood Holo.
But would you please lay to rest those unfounded fears that Obama might really have a hidden agenda as stated on The Audacity Of Hope Holo?
Please now, offer your unique insight on this trivial matter.

Jesus Christ, Fat Gregg, here's the quote:
“In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly: they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during WWII, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
Meaning he will stand with ethnic Arab and Pakistani-Americans (US citizens, mind you) against profiling and persecution.

I already addressed the offshore drilling issue where you are just uninformed. I've also discussed with you here the FISA issue in which not only can it only be truly addressed as president but what that bill also did was put restrictions on the current situation, and make all wiretappings be reviewed by the FISA court which was not true before. So as a short term thing, it actually served you. It's not the telecom companies that should be punished anyway, it's Bush and Cheney and co. Will that happen? Probably not which is unfortunate but we don't know until we see what happens when the Democrats run the White House and the Congress. Obama has indicated that he will prosecute serious criminal acts by the Bush administration and there's a far better chance of that occurring than under McCain, obviously.

Well, score one for you Dan, I should have done my homework a little better but still I think other people than Muslims may have been needlessly persecuted as well, somehow I would think they deserve mention also but here's something else you can help clear up.
Will you then also put this quote in it's proper context Lyin Dan. Personally I think the positive attributes of people a person might choose to emulate should not be confined to one small segment of society, especially if that person is later trusted to govern fairly over a society that is made up of people from every other walk of life.
Please explain why the following quote is indicative of the positive character needed for anyone wanting to be President Of The United States.
"In his book "Dreams of My Father", Barack Obama wrote ' I never emulate white men AND BROWN MEN whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself..'

So that went a little sour when it became apparent these "faintings" were in fact being staged.
http://maxine-log.blogspot.com/2008/02/phony-faintings-at-obama-rallies-medved.html
It's one thing studying the great speeches and lifting segments of those speeches (sampling) and call them your own but this little trick is just a bit much..
Then there is the real issue of allowing newborn infants to die. No normal person can permit this, it just not possible for any rational, trustworthy person to support such a criminal act and speaks volumes about his real character .
So Obama doesn't get my vote, not a chance now.

Obama has made his obsession with race well known and I think just about everyone has heard enough of it. People in this country are mature enough to elect an American to lead them regardless of background, it's too bad we don't have a candidate that understands that. This is just one reason why McCain is leading according to Zogby Polls and Obama's supporters continue to dwindle. Anything is still possible but don't be surprised if McCain takes as much as 25% of the AA vote as well as the leading among all other age and ethnic groups.
This isn't because McCain is a great candidate but Obama's extreme leftist voting record will not help him come election time. You can be pro-abortion and be elected president, supporting and allowing infanticide is another matter altogether. He can kiss the entire Bible Belt and Evangelical vote goodbye.
Again..., no sane human being can turn their back on a newborn infant and allow that child to die. It's not normal and again reveals the real character of a man who is not fit to be president.

It's very simple again. Two children are born. One prematurely, the other via 3rd-term abortion. Both children have an equal chance to go onto a healthy long life but only one receives the care that child needs to survive while the other is left to die.
What gives anyone the right to decide the fate of the child who is allowed to die Holo?
