John McCain graduated 894th in a class of 899 at the Naval Academy at Annapolis.
I worry about the 5 who were below him. :>)

And Obama was summa cum laude, or just magna?
Being a good or bad student says a lot for me. I know a lot of people would say otherwise, but in politics, it is important to cross your ts and dot your i's. Do your homework.
In the running a business aspect of being pres. book smarts matters less.
Oh, but we're not looking for smarts, (God forbid elect an intellektual.) We're looking for common sense.
Oh Snap, Obama has that too.
I personally want someone intelligent. ELITE even.
But I went to a top college, sip lattes and guzzle fine wine.

This is the one most striking thing about this election. Even George W. Bush is quicker on his feet than McCain and he's no scholar.
Obama covers a whole range of subtleties in his dialogue that not only dwarf McCain's limited ideas but are really a whole new paradigm for a candidate.

Exactly where and what school did he finish last at ?
Einstein was a top student in elementary school ... so much so that he pretty much skipped high school and went straight into college where he was a mathematical and Physics marvel ...
Man where do you get this stuff ? ... and why do you insist on spreading pure B.S. ?

Steve, that's silly. How could you even suggest that finishing 5 from the bottom isn't any indicator?
Let me add from the same article:
"His father and grandfather were four star admirals in the Navy. Some have suggested that might have played a role in McCain being admitted."

That says nothing about him graduating last in his class .... I have read many books about Einstein and his grades were mostly VERY GOOD ... he had a disdain for people who "were jealous of his abilities" ... a couple of professors did not like him ... and so they gave him bad marks ... that did not put him at "the bottom" of his class ...

He didn't learn how to speak properly till he was 12 years old. The point being made is graduating rank has little to do with real intelligence and ability.

That maverick thing was a joke, right? He has voted with Bush a ridiculous percentage of the time. Even his friends in congress say he's not that maverick anymore.
