Maybe American voters aren't so stupid after all.
They're going to pick the right guy to win. Sure it was a total no-brainer, one guy absolutely presidential and another almost buffoonish, but the important point is, it's all going to turn out fine. :>)

Hi Steve, and thanks you xoxo :) I hope I can be of service ... but my being an American and all, you may want to get a second opinion ? That's why I eat grape nuts.
ACORN is a voter registration group which is controversial in regards to it's employees being accused of ( in some cases ) of illegal activity. McCain suggests the group is committing or is on the verge of committing one of the greatest voter frauds. Obama basically states in response that his relationship with ACORN was or is limited and says something to the effect that it says more about McCain's campaign than his or something like that. It's said that they have signed up allot of poor folks and Walt Disney characters which many Repelicans struggle to tell the difference. My head hurts, I need to go chew something simple like a banana.
And then another cartoon was born ... hee ( thanks Larry )

Thanks Anjuli. You helped restore my faith in the ignorance of the average American. Yes Holo- rest assured, the American voter is just as ill-informed and "stupid" as always. All is 'right' with the world.

Well ... I'd hate to break tradition. I try to set a good example of our beloved ignorance whilst roaming the streets of England. Why ... sometimes I just make stuff up it don't matter ... facts are mutable in my ill informed opinion. hiccup.

ah... but Steve, you (SRM) have rockin' Music! Don't be so scurrred to speak up...
I look foolish & talk all too much, and it seems to work for this wannabe rockstar.
Most people call what I do PUnk anyway, they almost never listen to the broadness of the arrangements & vocals and beyond the Punk ethic & image, so it's all good.
Anjuli-- great to see you bloggin' up a storm as it were, again! The BLOG started by T (SuperPuss) was sweet & economically/socially intellectual. I was pleasantly suprised again at the calibur of the posts. Also a little scurrred to interject, as y'all we're doing just fine. WHOOPS! I guess I'm the scurrred one Steve!

Thanks Phlegm, I feel it's my duty... I can't live with myself with the likes of srm quietly giving folks the wrong impression that we actually think before we speak... that would just be wrong and disingenuous ')

Re: ACORN
What Republicans are failing to mention in their accusations, is that every single voter registration group is required, BY LAW, to turn in EVERY SINGLE APPLICATION that they receive, even if it is signed by Donald Duck.

Well, when Scrooge McDuck casts his vote, you can be sure it'll be Republican.
So how big a deal is that?
On another note, when Donald Duck casts his vote, will they ask for ID?
(In case you missed it, what I'm saying is "Fictional registrants won't be voting, so, so what?)
(And also, I'm pretty sure Mr. Diebold is Republican, and his vote sloshes a lot of weight. Ask President Gore about such things.)

Anjuli, I don't know whether to laugh or cry about that Youtube video..... The Aussie in me wants to laugh (because it's an Aussie video) but the fact that those questions are so fundamentally simple and mostly obvious and the answers given (or not given) are so ludicrously BAD makes me cringe!
I can only hope (and probably correctly assume) that the majority of the answers filmed showed a decent amount of general intellect but were selectively removed for the sake of creating an effect.
As for the election, I think Larree has the best solution..... NOBODY FOR PRESIDENT!!

The McCain campaign is so idiotic. The whole Acorn angle is foolish. Imagine the Republicans complaining about voting funny business after stealing 2 elections in a row. Not this time.
I think it would still be a very close race if McCain had picked Romney. Too bad for him he recklessly picked a complete fool who if she became president would be impeached within a week I'm guessing.

I am in full agreement Holo. The Republicans dropped the ball with McCain... He is not ready for prime time, and fails to inspire. It is worse then Kennedy versus Nixon. He looks very inept next to Obama because of Obamas persona and articulation.
Now Romney.,... he has the same characteristics as Obama in that he is very personable and comes off very well in front of the camera. He has the ability to inspire, and his strength is his Business acumen, which would play very well right now. Unfortunately, the right wing religious base could not look past his Mormon faith. It was a critical error, and very short sighted. We are ready to elect an African American, but not a Mormon.
The Ticket should have been Romney McCain...... but the conservative right could not get their head out of their Bibles to go for that. Yes, this would have been a very different race. Hillary is pulling her hair out, if not for Obama she would be President. McCain is such a weak canditate the nation would have gladly welcomed the first Woman to the white house.
You will get what you wanted Holo, I pray Obama is up to the task. He will need to reel in his urge to tax and spend, it is absolutely what we do not need right now.
The nation needs to come together now, and Congress will need to get their act together...we are at a very scary and uncertain crossroads.
Enjoy the ride Holo......you have spent a considerable amount of time in Obamas corner.
Jeff
