Indie female vocalists vs. mainstream female vocalists
Has anybody else noticed how few women there are who really excelled in rock music over the course of popular music, yet a majority of the best indie bands seem to have female lead vocalists?

Definitely dude. Sarah McLaughlin tried to highlight this by having a festival called Lilith Fair........named after Adam's first wife, the one who so wisely left the garden.
Strangely enough, there are more women who promote the arts. I find it sad that some of the very human beings that make art beautiful are left in the sidelines, when they should be celebrated. not because they are women, but because.........well.........they sound pretty goddamn good. ;-))

Adam's first wife? I never heard about that one in Sunday school. I will have to do some googling.
