This is quite an emotional subject you've touched on here Holo, you certainly hold the high ground on this issue.
What puzzles me though just 6 short months ago video was presented of a torture victim who chose 4 years of torture over early release by his captors and you displayed not one ounce of sympathy for that torture victim but contempt instead.
Can you explain why???

You don't have to watch the videos to know John McCain was tortured for over 4 years in Viet Nam. I'm just asking why doesn't he matter as much as other torture victims?

I'm concerned about anyone who gets tortured but I still don't think being tortured qualifies McCain to be president. A better question is how could any American support torture?

I wasn't talking about John McCain the candidate for president, I was referring to John McCain the torture victim. And the fact you refuse to acknowledge and sympathize with that part of McCain's life shows your sympathies for other torture victims must be suspect. You just can't allow political bias to decide which victims deserve sympathy and which ones do not, it just doesn't work that way. You either truly sympathize with victims of torture or you don't. And as of this moment, you get a failing grade.

Hey Willie, Just a little over the top there friend. I disagree with Holo 80% of the time, and yes ....at times he can be an egocentric, degrading smart ass..but he does not deserve that. Lets all "try" to lift IAC by trying to disagree without personal attack or insult. It's just not worth it, and it makes us all look bad.

FWIW....IMHO...President Obama has made a huge error in judgment, both in the initial release of the CIA memo's and the flip flop on prosecuting those who wrote them.
And I won't apologize for my comment.....It was meant to be funny.....Kinda like Janeane Garofalo calling me a "racist"....Now that's funneeeeeeeee!

Willie..... Lizardman is just stupid, its childish.. don't wory about it...... however, talking about "Beheadings" etc.... is a little over the top, even for us :)
I am not trying to be holier then thou, it just hit me the wrong way. Believe me, I am not one to defend Holo.. I just think the rhetoric took a very dark turn.
