Health care debate the turning point in American government?
It's epic. Ronald Reagan sent our culture spiralling backwards and turned America into a nation where the corporations were king. Mom and pop stores went down and a whole lot of chains thrived. The rich got richer and the richer got wealthy. The middle class never got trickled down on.
Now an honest president takes on the corporations and there's a chance America can finally get part of the way back to what it once was. Insurance and Pharma money solicits stupid people to try to bring down what will help them. The Sarah Palins of the world tell giant fibs and there's never a lack of gullible suckers to fall in line. Even a segment of the Democrats are owned by lobbyists, will the Senate do the right thing or will it hold back the big change?
Do your part if you understand. If you don't, stop believing Limbaugh and Fox News and get informed.

I saw a GREAT film with John Wayne last night - A film from 1940, right after he did Stagecoach
John Wayne was a farmer who lived in a dusted out dustbowl town.
The town worked and worked, but the environment had been fucked up by previous non-ecological farmers. One huge dust storm screwed them up big time.
The whole town decided, to take up a government offer to build a new town in Oregon- And so they moved, EN MASSE.
But there was a Rush Limberberbaugh in the posse, what is the word, they had about a hundred cars driving from OK to Oregon: They all started out with the same goal, but this Limberberbaugh figure, kept starting shit, challenging John Wayne, and eventually Wayne just gave up.
Which gave the Limberberbaugh person enough leverage, he took ALL the collective money, and he just started appropriating vehicles. and he was just going to go to California cos of the lies about "All kinds of Oranges to pick out there"
The Doctor, played by Charles Coburn, who had been a refuge from Nazi Germany, saw what was happening and went and got Wayne, told Wayne what this Limberberbaugh-ite was doing, and so Wayne chased the guy down, ran him off the road, took the money back, and they stared a town called Ashford Fork, Oregon.
I believe if The Duke were alive today, he'd be doing the same thing: He'd be all IN Limbergerbaugh's FACE, he'd force him to see the DAMAGE he is doing. - And he'd beat Limburger until he were black and blue.
