I confess. I love watching the competitive cooking shows on TV.
Last night it was Hell's Kitchen. What a cliffhanger. I hope Rock wins, he wants and needs to win so much more.

I also watched faithfully the Next Food Network Star. That had a terrible ending and I almost wrote to the Food Network to complain! Jag was clearly the best cook but they disqualified him after he was already named to the finals because they found out he said he was stationed in Afghanistan when it was really Iraq and he claimed he had a degree but didn't. Why didn't they do this background check earlier? They stress preparation so much. So as it goes in these shows you root for somebody and I was rooting for Jag, what a letdown it was when they pulled the rug out from under the audience like they did.

I also watch Top Chef, and Iron Chef and Bobby Flay's Throwdown. This past week Bobby Flay did a throwdown at a Crepe place in Texas and those crepes looked so good, I"ve been craving a crepe ever since.

I try to cook. My best dish is chicken fajitas. I know that's not too hard but I've come a long way from Kraft Mac and Cheese!

Rock won Hell's Kitchen, I was glad. After what happened on the Next Food Network Star it rocked that he won.

Bobby Flay lost last night in the Crabcake Throwdown. I'm so hungry for crabcakes since that show, I'm going to get some, soon.

Speaking of Macaroni and Cheese, I recently had some at the farmer's market and it was the place where Oprah named it the best mac and cheese in the US. It was very good but overpriced. Fattening too, I can only have that once a year.

I make it a point to catch Giada when she's on. For obvious reasons. :D

I love that show Hell's Kitchen also.

Chef Ramsey sure can be a prick when he wants to be!
