Cool shot!
I didn't realise there was a lunar eclipse. I just bought a new 80 -200 mm f2.8 lens for my Nikon and that would've been a perfect opportunity!! Oh well, next time.

Excellent pic. It was overcast here. I saw about 3/4 of the moon obscured, before the clouds took over. They had a nice, bronze glow to them for a while, though.

It was a perfect night here -- except for the frigid (9°F) weather.
Still, I braved it to watch the moon disappear and the stars come out, and to make myself feel teeny-tiny and insignificant all over again.
Also, I know what you mean about the calming effect.
Or maybe that's just sleep deprivation.

Cool ... we saw it =)
We were in the woods near the Andes mountains in Cochabamba, Bolivia. There were some clouds first but they moved away later. It was amazing walking running and singing in the dark ;)
