Question about Radio Stations
I'm just wondering if someone could explain to me how the Radio station thing works. It still puzzles me. The last time I looked up any of my stations, they were so far down at the bottom end of the charts that I couldn't even find them. I think Soul Retrieval might have been somewhere in the 300's.
Just by accident I noticed that Soul Retrieval is now #15 down the list. How did it get there? I didn't do anything different. So my question is, how do stations move up and down the list? :-) Thanks, deb

This is from the IAC FAQ found on the menu at top of page.
Q. How are Stations ranked at IAC?
A. Stations are ranked based upon the number of daily unique full-page plays, daily unique individual plays, and daily unique page views. Thus one can infer popularity as the essence of the rank. Stations with song lists in excess of 100 receive proportional downgrades, as it is felt that excessive length makes it too easy to 'throw in the kitchen sink', so to speak.
