Well, finally got around to re-upping a bunch of songs that somehow went AWOL awhile ago. What a job. Just a reminder to keep all your songs in one place, not the random filing system I currently have.

I also put up a song, my first, own, vocal track in 15 yrs. Not having a great voice, I decided to work with great vocalists instead, but thought I might brave the waters for a try at something I'm not used to. The track is "Champion". Please leave a comment if you're up to it, its umm, been described as, you know.... "unusual" Even the comment "see you in another 15 yrs is fine". LOL

Anyone else returned to something awhile later ? It certainly came with a new perspective, and for me, freshness which I was surprised at.

cheers, niteshift

This is probably my favorite song of yours.
And, as to your vocals, I love them. They're perfect for the song and just sound really really good. Just really affecting.

Maybe you don't have the range for some of your other tunes, but when you have a song like this, you NEED to sing it yourself. Good stuff, brother!

Hey thanks Todd, but I can only take credit for the performance. It was written by a fellow buddy in ryhme, Scott Campbell. Great songwriter, and I just wanted to sing a tune again, and liked the song, so that's what came out.

He wrote it for another reason, but it kind of resonates to me, in the indie community. Just keep plugging away and all that.

You're right about pitch and rage, I tend to write in the higher keys, which don't suit, so this one just felt right.

Maybe another in another 15 yrs ? We'll see...... LOL

cheers mate, niteshift

Sure!
I know (of) Scott from JPFolks!
He is an excellent writer, but then so are you.

And, if your songs are too high for you, bring it down an octave... or (if it sounds okay to you), shift the key. I really do like your voice.

Hey Sam,

Thanks for the listen, and for the Vox comments. I don't plan on any more, any time soon, so yeah, immortality here we come. LOL

PS - See you're from Jacksonville FL. Scott's out that way , from Lakeland FL If you run into him around the musical traps, have a beer for me will ya ?
