Is there anywhere in Manhattan where I could play a song or two?
I am going to be in New York for about 8 days, does anyone know if there is anywhere that I could play a song or two?
I'll be there on April first....trust me to arrive on that day!!
Ciao,
Vincenzo

Ok,
I found an open mike on Tuesday the 6th, but I need a keyboard. Any one in Manhattan that can lend me a keyboard for the night? Or anyone who is going to the Songsalive open mike on the 6th and can let me use their keyboard on the night??
Ciao,
Vincenzo

Vincenzo,
I don't know if you want to, but check out Sonicbids.com. For a monthly membership, you can check out "gigs" that promoters have when the are looking for artists to do their venues, festivals, cafes from all over the world. You can build your Electronic Press Kit and send it to those venues you are interested in. The thing is that you have to be careful of what venues you send to. All of them cost to send your EPK (prices anywhere from 2$-$20 or more depending on the venue or type of show). We have been somewhat successful at finding gigs there. Hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks Slimdog,
I am a member of Sonicbids, but I am here in New York for a few days, so I just thought I'd try to get a one or two songs gig, just for fun. I found one, but there is no piano at the venue, so now I am looking for a keyboard I can borrow from somebody!!
Ciao and thank your for your input.
Vincenzo
