Collaborations
One of the joys of music - perhaps more than any other artistic pursuit - is that of collaboration. I'm interested to know of any of you who have successfully collaborated via the internet, either with fellow IACers or with others?
If there are enough examples here on IAC, I'll put together the Monkey68 collaboration channel. It will, of course, include my own 3000 mile collaboration with the absolutely phenomenal Red, Long Trip (Far Away) - my own experience of collaborating over silicon has been fantastic and we're already working on more. So tell me, how is your iMusic coming together?

I have collaborated with Lyricists I met on the Internet...
Dianne Rulliere lives in England, she provided Lyrics perfectly to my written Melodies. Not easy to do as the Phrasing is very important
Till Tomorrow and Always (We will Shine) are two on my page.
Another, Between the real world and Nowhere I wrote to the already composed lyrics of Peg Attwood, who I met on the internet... Its a great time to be a musician.

I collaborated on this song called "I Never Wanted To Say Goodbye", lyrics were written by Aleisha Russell and read out on a You Tube video, she then challenged songwriters to write a song for the lyrics, which I then did. I recently posted a demo video of the song here.
I also co-wrote "Here Comes America" with my friend Mark Thompson, who lives in England. He recorded his vocals using Garage Band and emailed MP3's over to me here in LA, and Vwalla! we have a song.
