Man Phobic - Musicians Opinions wanted
I have uploaded a song called Man Phobic.Dirge put these vocals and lyrics to a repeated middle 8 section of another song she was working on. Do you think it is ok as it is with minimal accompanyment or does it need more and if so what would fit. Guys, dont take the lyrics personally !

She has such a soulful voice that it carries very well As is.....
One thing I can hear in my head ... is to layer her vocals into an echo effect ... If done right ... with the breaks that are in this tune ... I think you could have the echo fall in Beautifully

agree with Susan---------Dirge has a voice full of character and emotion, you could possibly make it flow better, but most artists would be proud to put out such a track!

Already has Cubase reverb on it, is that different to echo ?

Yes ... I can hear the reverb ... what I am talking about (or what I hear in my head) is actually taking the vocal track and duplicating it and laying it on top of the other track in a later bar ... each section may have to be moved a bit so it comes in at the right time...
If you go to my page and listen to just the intro in "Whiskey Symphony" you will hear the effect used ... I did this with my guitar track ...
It may be a bit unorthadox but I think This is the perfect song of DirgeK's to use this effect on her Vocal track ... of course I could be full of beans to .. and it may sound terrible ... but it sure sounds good in my head..

May I ask who is accompanying DirgeK on piano? Was that piano track put in after? Somehow it's not in the groove with her. Her voice is so beautiful, it almost takes away. Is this just me? deb

This was the middle 8 section of another song Dirge was working on with Peter Dieck who she did 'Incognito' and 'Vladimir' with. It was intended as a quide to help her fit the vocals to another song 'Many Vias' which I haven't put up yet. She put these new vocals and lyrics to it so they were not written as an accompaniment for them and Peter had never heard these new vocals.
I have very little experience of music production, just managed to work out how to export vocal tracks. I will put your suggestion Sam to the collabouration site who intended to work on this song at a later date. I am sure they will understand how to do that better than I do. Thanks for your ideas.
